Yankees' Aaron Judge: Not expected for wild-card round

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that the does not anticipate Judge (calf) being ready for the wild-card series next week, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Judge was placed on the 10-day injured list this past weekend with a right calf strain that Boone revealed Tuesday was "moderate." The outfielder was given a platelet-poor plasma injection in his calf Monday and will rest for a few days to allow the shot to take effect. Judge will aim to be ready for the ALDS, should the Yankees advance, but nothing is guaranteed. Heliot Ramos will be asked to pick up the slack in right field while Judge is sidelined.

Judge went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Monday in an 8-3 victory against Minnesota.
Judge was hitless with two strikeouts through three plate appearances, but he rescued his stat line in a big way by clobbering a 415-foot, three-run homer to left field in the eighth inning. It was his first long ball in his sixth game since returning Sept. 8 from a three-plus-month stay on the injured list. Judge is slated to get a day off Wednesday, but he should still have ample time to shake off any residual rust ahead of the postseason after the Yankees clinched a playoff berth with Monday's victory.
