The Brewers designated Roller for assignment Saturday.
The Brewers selected Rob Zastryzny's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday in order to replace the injured Jared Koenig (forearm), leaving Roller as the odd man out of Milwaukee's 40-man roster. The 27-year-old outfielder has slashed just .196/.237/.313 through 173 plate appearances in Triple-A and will most likely pass through waivers unclaimed.

Triple-A Nashville placed Roller on its 7-day injured list April 21 with an unspecified injury.
Roller hit .308 with three extra-base hits and a stolen base over 10 games for Nashville, but he hadn't played since April 11 due to the injury before shifting to the IL. The 27-year-old outfielder was added to the Brewers' 40-man roster during the offseason and could make his MLB debut later this summer once he moves past the injury.

Milwaukee optioned Roller to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Roller will start the 2024 season in the minors after slashing .247/.394/.449 with 15 home runs, 67 RBI and 19 stolen bases between the Brewers' and Guardians' Triple-A affiliates in 2023. He has yet to make a plate appearance in the majors since being drafted in 2017, but he could make his way onto the Brewers' active roster in 2024 if he continues to excel at the dish at Triple-A and if Milwaukee has a need for an extra outfielder.

The Brewers selected Roller's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Roller, 27, would've become a minor-league free agent, but the Brewers have added him to the 40-man roster in order to prevent that from happening. The outfielder slashed .247/.394/.449 with 15 home runs and 19 stolen bases at the Triple-A level in 2023. Roller has not seen any action at the big-league level.

Brewers' Chris Roller: Traded to Milwaukee
Milwaukee acquired Roller from the Guardians on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Roller, a 30th-round selection in the 2017 MLB Draft, was batting .222/.373/.413 with 12 homers and 13 steals through 92 games (327 plate appearances) this season with the Triple-A affiliate of the Guardians in Columbus. The 26-year-old outfielder will report to the Triple-A affiliate of the Brewers in Nashville.
