Yankees' Caleb Durbin: Returns from IL, heads to Double-A
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre reinstated Durbin (hand) from its 60-day injured list Thursday and assigned him to Double-A Somerset.
Durbin was slashing .299/.413/.458 with three home runs and 20 stolen bases in 46 games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before he was shelved in late May with a right hand injury. He made one rehab appearance with Single-A Tampa last Wednesday before Scranton/Wilkes-Barre opted to activate him a day later. Though Durbin has technically been assigned to Somerset and has gone 2-for-14 at the dish over his four starts at Double-A, he's essentially continuing his rehab assignment. Look for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to bring Durbin back once he has more time to build up at-bats with Somerset.

Yankees' Caleb Durbin: Shelved at Triple-A with hand injury
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre placed Durbin on its 7-day injured list Friday with a right hand injury, Conor Foley of YES Network reports.
Durbin suffered the injury Thursday, when he was hit in the hand by a pitch. According to Foley, Durbin was able to take part in defensive work the same day he landed on the IL, but he was sporting a protective brace on his injured right hand. Durbin was off to a strong start to the season for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, reaching base at a .413 clip while chipping in three home runs and 20 stolen bases in 215 plate appearances.
