The Washington Wizards have their roots deep in the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore area. That's why they're happy to pay homage to their ties with the city of Baltimore by wearing their new "Baltimore Pride" alternate uniforms that harken back to the Baltimore Bullets days of the franchise.

The Wizards will wear these uniforms for six regular-season home games in 2015-16. They've also committed to wearing blue alternates for every road game on a Wednesday and their red home jerseys twice during the regular season. Here are the Baltimore Pride alternates that look similar to the uniforms from 1969-73.

They kind of look like a Dr. Seuss inspired set of pajamas, but as long as the players and fans like them, that's all that matters.

The Wizards also provided a throwback shot of Wes Unseld and Phil Chenier playing in the originals from back when the team was based in Baltimore, prior to moving to Landover, Maryland in 1973. Will they be enough to tug at the heartstrings of Kevin Durant and his Baltimore upbringing? Tune in to 2016 free agency in July to find out.
