After beating the Dallas Mavericks 103-94 in Game 5, the Houston Rockets are heading to the second round for the first time since 2009. Josh Smith played a big role off the bench in the game by scoring 20 points and grabbing eight rebounds. His efforts in the first round, averaging 17.4 points and  6.4 rebounds, are a big reason why the Rockets' "gentleman sweep" of the Mavs was possible.

Smith's energy was evident all series, including in the closing moments of Game 5 when he pushed Kevin McHale in excitement.

While McHale may been initially uncomfortable about being pushed, he was quite appreciative of Smith's efforts in the series, saying afterwards, "There’s no way we win this series 4-1 without Josh Smith."
