  • Darius Johnson-Odom: Heads to Italy

Johnson-Odom (foot) agreed to a contract Monday with Pallacanestro Reggiana of the Italian League, Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.com reports.

Though he was sidelined with a foot injury while the Iowa Wolves concluded their G League season Friday, Johnson-Odom presumably expects to be healthy enough to contribute for the Italian club for the remainder of its 2018-19 campaign. Once available, the 29-year-old should claim a key role in the Pallacanestro Reggiana after averaging 22.5 points, 4.5 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.9 triples and 1.5 steals in 34.7 minutes per game with Iowa prior to getting hurt.

  • Darius Johnson-Odom: Out Saturday

Johnson-Odom (foot) did not play in Saturday's win over the Herd.

Johnson-Odom has missed the past two games with what is being described as a foot injury, but it's unclear how severe the injury might be. The point guard had played in every game for the Wolves prior to Wednesday, averaging 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 34.7 minutes per game.

  • Darius Johnson-Odom: Tallies 29 points

Johnson-Odom scored 29 points (9-21 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 8-8 FT) while registering six rebounds, two assists and a steal in the loss Wednesday to the Skyforce.

Johnson-Odom and Canyon Barry acted as the two leading scorers for the Wolves, each nearing 30 points while the rest of the team managed to total in the high teens. A massive amount of absentee players left Iowa with only seven active players, and it was clear throughout the contest that Johnson-Odom's heroics were superseded by the lack of depth. The former Marquette guard is averaging 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists and has yet to miss a G League game this season.

  • Darius Johnson-Odom: Scores 36 in win

Johnson-Odom scored 36 points (9-18 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 14-14 FT) to go along with seven rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block in the 119-112 win Monday over the Skyforce.

Johnson-Odom put together easily his best outing this season, constantly finding his way to the line en route to 36 points. Despite coming off the bench, Johnson-Odom played the most minutes (38) of anyone on the Wolves and will continue to be one of the primary scorers for his team.

  • Darius Johnson-Odom: Tallies surprising double-double

Johnson-Odom contributed 16 points (6-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in the loss Wednesday to Raptors 905.

Johnson-Odom has seen his staggering workload drop a slight amount through 12 games, as the 29-year-old is averaging 36.3 minutes per contest. Consistently one of the top scorers on his team through three separate stints in the G League, Wednesday's 11 rebounds was uncharacteristic for the diminutive guard and likely won't be something Johnson-Odom can repeat on a consistent basis moving forward.

  • Darius Johnson-Odom: Takes little rest in loss

Johnson-Odom racked up 28 points, five assists, four rebounds and one steal over 45 minutes in Tuesday's game against Northern Arizona.

Johnson-Odom posted a game high in minutes by a wide margin Tuesday and is now averaging 39.7 minutes per game this season. That amount of playing time is hard to ignore and should make him a viable option across all G League formats in the season ahead.

Johnson-Odom has been playing overseas in the recent past, with his 2017-18 campaign being spent with Vanoli Cremona of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A. In 34 games, he averaged 18.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists across 28.4 minutes. He's now parlayed that strong showing overseas into a camp invite, though Johnson-Odom is still a long shot to make the final roster.
