John Egbunu: To play for Wolves in summer league
Egbunu will play for the Timberwolves' summer league team, Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.com reports.
Egbunu spent last season between South Korea and Italy. Overall, he averaged 8.8 points on 55.0 percent shooting, 7.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 21.0 minutes per game. He also spent the 2019-20 season in the G League with the Long Island Nets, where he averaged 10.3 points on 69.3 percent shooting, 7.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 18.0 minutes per game.

John Egbunu: Plays five minutes in loss
Egbunu contributed three points 91-1 FG, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and an assist in five minutes during Sunday's loss to Greensboro.
While it was good to see Egbunu back in the lineup after an extended absence due to an undisclosed injury, the 25-year-old wasn't allowed much of a workload. Now that he's healthy, however, he could return to his usual output of 10.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 18.0 minutes per game when/if G League play resumes.

Egbunu generated 14 points (6-10 FG, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, four blocks and two assists in 22 minutes during Wednesday's loss to Fort Wayne.
Egbunu had another solid game as his steady efforts in the paint continue to be awarded with a sizable minute load. Across 20 appearances, Egbunu's providing 11.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 20.2 minutes per game.

John Egbunu: Leads way off bench
Egbunu contributed 26 points (12-14 FG, 1-3 FT), 11 rebounds and a block in 29 minutes Saturday against Canton.
Egbunu reached a new season-high with 24 points in Saturday's loss. The 25-year-old center continues to dominate the paint on the offensive side of things as he's shooting a ridiculous 74.7 percent on 5.9 attempts per game. Based on his impressive numbers, there's a solid chance that Egbunu could crack the starting rotation at some point this year, particularly considering that usual center, Jonathan Kasibabu's had irregular success.

Egbunu amassed 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-3 FT), 14 rebounds, three blocks and an assist in 24 minutes during Sunday's dismantling of Lakeland.
Egbunu had his best game of the season as he saw some extra run with the game well in hand early. The Nigerian rookie's provided solid backup center minutes all year long and is averaging 8.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.0 block while shooting a ridiculous 72.4 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from the line in 18.8 minutes per game.

John Egbunu: Perfect shooting from field in loss
Egbunu recorded 22 points (11-11 FG), two rebounds and an assist in 25 minutes Friday against Canton.
Egbunu's performance was remarkable, both for the fact that he hit every shot he took but also that he did so without taking a three or any free throws. The Nigerian center's scoring at an extremely efficient clip this year and has season-long averages of 12.2 points and 8.0 rebounds on 86.7 percent shooting from the field and 71.4 percent shooting from the line in 21.2 minutes.

John Egbunu: Scores 10 points off bench
Egbunu generated 10 points (4-4 FG, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one block across 17 minutes in Sunday's loss to Windy City.
Egbunu was one of the few bright spots for the Nets as he failed to miss from the field and neared a double-double in just 17 minutes. The Florida product is having a successful season so far and is averaging 9.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.0 block in 20.3 minutes through four G-Leauge games.
