  • Matt Williams: Signs in Finland

Williams has agreed to join Finnish team KTP-Basket, Sportnado.com reports.

Williams spent most of last season with the G-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce, where he averaged 10.2 points in 25.6 minutes. He played for the Bulls during this year's summer league but apparently didn't impress enough to earn a training camp invite.

He spent the majority of the campaign with the G-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce. Williams was finally able to score in double figures after a five game absence and shot an efficient 66.7 percent from the floor Tuesday. The 24-year-old guard out of Central Florida is currently contributing 10.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game for Sioux Falls this year.

  • Matt Williams: Will be waived by Heat

Williams will be waived by the Heat, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Williams has seen the floor just three times for the Heat, as he's spent the majority of the season playing with the team's G-League affiliate. However, the Heat apparently aren't exactly thrilled with his progress and are now expected to add Derrick Jones as a two-way player. For that reason, that need to open a roster spot, which sends Williams back to the free agent pool. Unless he fields interest elsewhere in the NBA, Williams will likely sign in the G-League or potentially head overseas if a more lucrative contract is offered.

  • Heat's Matt Williams: Will be recalled from G-League

Williams will be recalled from the G-League in time for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Williams has spent the majority of this season with the Heat's G-League affiliate, playing in 16 games and averaging 9.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 30.2 minutes. Those aren't necessarily impressive numbers for that level of competition, though he'll still rejoin the Heat for his second stint at the big league level this season. Williams will likely be nothing more than emergency depth with starting point guard Goran Dragic dealing with an elbow injury.

  • Heat's Matt Williams: Assigned to G-League

Williams was assigned to the G-League on Saturday, Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post reports.

Williams stuck with the Heat through the first week-and-a-half of the regular season but he'll now head to the Sioux Falls Skyforce for an opportunity to see regular playing time in a game setting. Williams is one of the Heat's two-way contract players.

  • Heat's Matt Williams: Active for Heat on Wednesday

Williams, who is on a two-way contract, is active for the Heat on Wednesday, Anthony Chiang of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Though Williams is active, it seems unlikely he'll see significant run. On the depth chart, he's behind the likes of Dion Waiters, Tyler Johnson, Wayne Ellington and other reserves.

  • Heat's Matt Williams: Converted to two-way contract

Williams will remain with the Heat on a two-way contract.

Williams joined the Heat for training camp on a non-guaranteed deal and while he didn't have an overly impressive preseason, he did show plenty of upside in practice and the team likes his potential. Instead of using a regular roster spot on Williams, they'll instead convert his contract to a two-way deal, which means he'll be able to spend up to 45 days with the Heat during the season, while working closely with the team's G-League affiliate for the rest of the time. That should aid in his development, though it means he's not going to be a relevant fantasy player. Williams is most known for his three-point shooting ability.
