76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Pops for 20 as Sixers' season ends
Maxey closed Thursday's 99-90 loss to the Heat in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 20 points (9-22 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one block in 42 minutes.
The second-year point guard came into his own this postseason, but his run ended Thursday along with the rest of his team. Over 12 playoff contests, Maxey averaged 20.8 points, 3.9 assists, 3.5 boards and 2.2 threes, positioning him to take another step forward with his production in 2022-23.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Falls flat in loss
Maxey notched nine points (2-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 120-85 loss to Miami.
After igniting the 76ers in the fourth quarter of Game 4, Maxey dropped a dud in Game 5. He wasn't alone as the entire Philadelphia offense fell flat, scoring its fewest points of the postseason. The second-year guard broke out during the regular season in the absence of Ben Simmons and has averaged 20.8 points on 49.4 percent shooting through the 76ers' first 11 playoff games. Maxey will need to be at his best in Game 6 if Philadelphia hopes to avoid elimination.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Lowest scoring mark of series
Maxey chipped in 18 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds and four assists across 42 minutes during Sunday's 116-108 victory over the Heat.
Maxey has been so good in Round 2 against the Heat that this 18-point output was his lowest mark of the series thus far. The former Kentucky standout continues to operate as the Sixers' third-best offensive option behind Joel Embiid and James Harden, and the numbers back that up. Through 10 games in the postseason, Maxey is averaging 22.0 points while shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 41.4 percent from three-point range.

Maxey ended with 21 points (7-11 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, six assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Friday's 99-79 win over Miami.
After a scoreless first half, Maxey exploded in the second and carried the 76ers to their first win of the series. Through his first nine playoff appearances this season, the second-year combo guard has averaged 22.4 points, 4.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 40.9 minutes per game.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Stars despite loss
Maxey logged 34 points (12-22 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 9-11 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 43 minutes during Wednesday's 119-103 loss to Miami.
Logging a team-high 43 minutes, Maxey carried Philadelphia offensively with fellow guards James Harden and Danny Green combining to shoot 7-for-25 from the field. Maxey has collected just three assists across two games against Miami thus far -- symbolizing the bump in isolation associated with Harden taking reigns of the offense. The potential return of Joel Embiid (orbital) in Game 3 is best viewed as a stabilizing presence to the 76ers' offense.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Strikes for 25 in Game 6
Maxey totaled 25 points (8-16 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and eight assists in 44 minutes during Thursday's 132-97 victory over the Raptors.
It was his best scoring performance since Maxey erupted for 38 in Game 1, as he bookended the 76ers' first-round victory. The second-year guard averaged 21.3 points, 4.8 assists, 4.7 boards and 2.5 threes in six games against the Raptors. He's emerged as a key complement to superstars Joel Embiid and James Harden as Philly gets ready to head to Miami for the start of the second round.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Erupts for 38 in Game 1 win
Maxey posted 38 points (14-21 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes during Saturday's 131-111 victory over Toronto.
While the focus with the 76ers is usually on Joel Embiid and James Harden, surprisingly it was Maxey who took the lead to begin the team's playoff run. The second-year guard had a breakout regular season but he's found another gear in recent weeks, averaging 23.3 points, 4.0 assists, 3.4 threes, 2.1 boards and 1.0 steals since the beginning of April.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Shines against Detroit
Maxey finished with 25 points (9-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), two rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes during Sunday's 118-106 win over the Pistons.
The Sixers rested most of their regulars for the final game of the regular season, but Maxey appeared as the starting point guard and handled the bigger offensive responsibility quite well. He heads into the playoffs on a strong note, as he averaged 19.7 points per game over his last seven appearances while scoring 20 or more points in three of his last four contests.
