  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Leads Pacers in upset overtime win

Duarte racked up 27 points (10-16 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and three steals over 39 minutes during Thursday's 121-117 overtime victory over the Warriors.

Indiana was severely shorthanded for the second game of a back-to-back set, resulting in Duarte's first start since Dec. 29. The situation worked out quite well for both the rookie and the team, as Duarte tied his career-best point total while leading the Pacers to an unexpected win in overtime. Duarte made an impact in other areas as well, grabbing seven boards and collecting three steals to reward fantasy managers and DFS players who put him in their lineup Thursday. He'll likely return to a reserve role when Indiana's regular starters return, but Duarte has done enough this season to warrant a look in most fantasy formats, and he could see an increased role late in the campaign if the Pacers continue to fall out of contention for a play-in spot.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Back in starting lineup

Duarte is set to start in Thursday's contest against the Warriors.

Duarte will start his 25th game of the season Thursday and should be in for an abundance of minutes with all of the Pacers' typical starters ruled out. Expect Duarte to revert back to the bench once Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) returns to the court.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Leads bench in scoring

Duarte chipped in 24 points (10-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and three steals over 34 minutes during Monday's 139-133 loss to the Clippers.

Duarte had his shot working in this one, putting up his best scoring performance since the first game of the season. He scored a season-best 27 points Oct. 20 against Charlotte. Duarte's six assists were also his best mark since Dec. 16 against Detroit. He hasn't consistently put together these types of complete lines, but it's reassuring for fantasy managers to see him log 34 minutes, which is noticeably up from his season average of 28.7 minutes per contest (36 games). However, Duarte will likely see a slight decrease in playing time when Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) is cleared to return.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Back at practice Thursday

Duarte (personal) went through practice Thursday, Pacers reporter Scott Agness reports.

Duarte spent a few days away from the team due to the birth of his daughter, but he was back on the floor Thursday and should be able to return to game action Friday against Phoenix. A combination of the arrival of his child and a stint in COVID-19 protocols has kept the rookie out of six of the Pacers' last seven games.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Will remain out Wednesday

Duarte (personal) will not be available for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Pacers reporter Scott Agness reports.

Duarte will miss a second straight game due to the birth of his child, but the Pacers are hoping to get the rookie back in action for Friday's home matchup against Phoenix. The good news for Indiana is both Caris LeVert (COVID-19 protocols) and Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) will play Wednesday.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Questionable for Wednesday

Duarte (personal) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Celtics.

Duarte was unavailable Monday after he returned to Indiana to be with his wife, who is expecting to give birth soon. If the rookie is unable to join the team Wednesday, Jeremy Lamb, Lance Stephenson and Torrey Craig are all candidates to see increased playing time.

Duarte is unavailable for Monday's game at Boston for personal reasons, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.

Duarte returned to Indiana with his wife expecting to give birth any day, so he'll be sidelined for Monday's contest. • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Performs despite blowout loss

Duarte supplied 17 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two steals over 19 minutes during Tuesday's 125-96 loss to the Heat.

Duarte co-led the Pacers in scoring and chipped in elsewhere across the box score. The Pacers were down by 20 points nearly the entire game, leading coach Rick Carlisle to divide playing time 13 ways. Malcolm Brogdon left the game with achilles soreness, and any absence would shift more scoring burden onto Duarte. Regardless of Brogdon's status, a fantasy-friendly matchup against the Rockets awaits Duarte on Thursday.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Neutralized in loss

Duarte closed Wednesday's 114-99 loss to the Bucks with 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-7 3Pt), three rebounds and one block over 26 minutes.

Duarte fared better than the combined 3-for-16 shooting effort over his past two games, but failed to make a substantial impact. Over seven contests in December, Duarte has been cold from deep, connecting on just 24.2 percent of his three-point attempts. A good bounce-back opportunity awaits against Detroit on Thursday.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Great in win

Duarte racked up 23 points (9-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Wednesday's 122-102 victory over New York.

Duarte hit the 20-point threshold for the first time since the season opener. He has fully regathered his rhythm lately, scoring in double figures for eight straight games. To boot, his six assists matched a season high. Duarte is averaging 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game through 25 appearances.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Racks up four steals

Duarte posted 13 points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and four steals over 25 minutes during Monday's 116-110 win over the Wizards.

The Pacers have been one of the most league's worst teams for spot-up shooting, something that is in Duarte's wheelhouse. While they've entrusted the rookie with a huge role, subtle efforts like this are great to see. Bringing the defensive intensity on a nightly basis would boost is fantasy portfolio further.
