Top Bulls News

  • Bulls' Patrick Williams: Questionable for Monday

Williams (groin) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Boston.

Williams is in jeopardy of missing a second consecutive contest due to right groin/adductor soreness. However, his potential absence wouldn't cause any significant waves in the rotation.

  • Bulls' Noa Essengue: Iffy for Monday

Essengue (head) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Boston.

Essengue was held out of Saturday's loss to the Wizards as a precaution due to a head contusion, though he's now in danger of missing a second straight game. His absence would leave additional minutes available for guys like Leonard Miller and Zach Collins.

  • Bulls' Buddy Hield: Chips in nine points Saturday

Hield had nine points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists in 16 minutes during Saturday's 124-120 loss to the Wizards.

After scoring 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting in Friday's win over Milwaukee, Hield once again provided a spark off the bench Saturday. The veteran shooting guard is averaging 7.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 15.0 minutes per contest across three regular-season games.

  • Bulls' Norman Powell: Flashes three-and-D skills Saturday

Powell contributed 18 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), two rebounds, three assists and four steals across 33 minutes during Saturday's 124-120 loss to the Wizards.

The veteran wing led all players in steals on the night, and only Trae Young drained more three-pointers. Powell is looking exactly as advertised to begin his tenure with the Wizards, averaging 19.3 points, 3.7 boards, 2.3 threes, 2.0 steals and 1.7 assists through three games, and his 8.3 three-point attempts a contest would actually be a career high if he can maintain that volume.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Teases triple-double against Wizards

Giddey racked up nine points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Saturday's 124-120 loss to Washington.

The 24-year-old guard has yet to score in double digits as he puts a preseason wrist issue behind him, but Giddey has 19 assists over the last two games as he builds chemistry with new teammates Caleb Wilson and Norman Powell. Giddey nearly averaged a triple-double in 2025-26 with 17.0 points, 9.1 assists and 8.3 boards a game, and he should quickly return to that level of production once he's back in the flow.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Hits for 21 in Saturday's loss

Buzelis logged 21 points (7-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Saturday's 124-120 loss to Washington.

The third-year forward played second fiddle on offense to Caleb Wilson, who erupted for a game-high 30 points, but the 21 points were still Buzelis's best showing yet on the young season as he sank his first three-pointers of 2026-27. Through three games, Buzelis is averaging 15.0 points, 5.3 boards, 1.7 assists and 1.0 blocks, and his scoring should pick up once his 13.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc normalizes.

  • Bulls' Caleb Wilson: Massive double-double in loss

Wilson tallied 30 points (10-24 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 9-11 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block across 38 minutes in Saturday's 124-120 loss to the Wizards.

After dropping 21 points in Friday's win over Milwaukee, Wilson erupted for a game-high 30 points in the second half of this back-to-back set, though he did struggle from beyond the arc. The rookie forward also tied for the game-high mark in rebounds. He's the first player since Terry Cummings in 1982-83 to record at least 30 points and 14 rebounds in one of his first three career games, per the broadcast.

  • Bulls' Patrick Williams: Won't play Saturday

Williams (groin) is out for Saturday's game versus the Wizards, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.

This will be Williams' first missed game this season due to injury. However, he hasn't been in the rotation, so Williams' absence from the active roster won't impact fantasy leagues.

  • Bulls' Noa Essengue: Ruled out for Saturday

Essengue (head) won't suit up for Saturday's game against the Wizards, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.

Head coach Tiago Splitter said he's holding Essengue out of Saturday's game as a precaution, so it doesn't sound like he'll be out long. His next chance to play will come Monday in Boston.

  • Bulls' Noa Essengue: Downgraded to questionable

Essengue (head) has been downgraded to questionable for Saturday's game against the Wizards.

Essengue initially drew a probable tag due to a head contusion, though he's trending in the wrong direction ahead of the second leg of this back-to-back set. If the 19-year-old forward is ultimately ruled out, Leonard Miller and Zach Collins could see increased minutes.

  • Bulls' Patrick Williams: Now questionable for Saturday

Williams (groin) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Wizards.

Williams is a late addition to the injury report due to right groin soreness, so his status will be worth monitoring leading up to the 8:00 p.m. ET tipoff. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game, so his absence wouldn't have much of an impact on the Bulls' bench rotation.

  • Bulls' Noa Essengue: Nursing head injury

Essengue (head) is probable for Saturday's game against the Wizards, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.

Essengue may have picked up the injury during Friday's 132-125 win over the Bucks, when he played 17 minutes and finished with four points, one rebound, one assist, three steals and one block. The probable tag indicates that the injury isn't considered a serious one, but that could change up until Saturday's 8:00 p.m. ET tipoff.

  • Bulls' Zach Collins: Expected to be in rotation Saturday

Head coach Tiago Splitter said he expects Collins to play Saturday against the Wizards, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.

Collins was available for Friday's game, but he did not leave the bench. However, Splitter said he will need Collins' size to compete with the Wizards' frontcourt, so he expects to have the big man in the rotation Saturday.

  • Bulls' Leonard Miller: Drops 19 points off bench

Miller had 19 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block across 24 minutes during Friday's 132-125 victory over the Bucks.

Miller turned in another strong performance, playing a larger role than what might have been expected coming into the season. After an encouraging end to the 2025-26 campaign, Miller has picked up where he left off, forcing his way into the rotation. It appears as though Tiago Splitter is not afraid to shuffle his lineups, which is both good and bad when it comes to projecting Miller's fantasy value. At this point, he could be considered for streaming purposes, under the assumption that his playing time could reduce at the drop of a hat.

  • Bulls' Jalen Smith: Double-double with three blocks

Smith recorded 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 13 rebounds, one assist and three steals over 24 minutes during Friday's 132-125 victory over the Bucks.

Smith recorded a 14-and-13 double-double, adding three blocks, despite playing just 24 minutes. Zach Collins failed to see the floor, with Chicago opting to play Leonard Miller and, to a lesser extent, Noah Essengue, as small-ball center options. Nic Claxton remains without a specific timetable for his return from a hamstring injury, meaning Smith should be rostered in all formats moving forward.

... See More ... See Less
  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Struggles continue Friday

Giddey posted six points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds and nine assists over 25 minutes during Friday's 132-125 victory over Milwaukee.

Giddey played through a wrist injury, although he was certainly far from his best once again. Although he did manage a game-high nine assists, his scoring was well below expectations, as was his playing time. Given that fantasy managers likely invested a high draft pick to secure him, the only course of action is to ride this out and hope he turns things around sooner rather than later. For those interested in acquiring Giddey, now would be a good time to throw out a buy-low offer.
