Devin Taylor: Waived by Giants
Taylor was waived by the Giants on Tuesday, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official site reports.
The Giants signed veterans Akeem Ayers and John Greco on Tuesday, leaving Taylor as the odd-man-out in New York. The 27-year-old signed with the Giants a little over two weeks ago, playing in one contest against the Rams, in which he recorded one tackle.

Giants' Devin Taylor: Re-signed by Giants
Taylor signed with the Giants on Tuesday.
Taylor spent the entire preseason and training camp with the Giants after signing with the team in May, but he was released just before the start of the regular season. The move coincides with New York placing Nordly Capi (hamstring) on injured reserve. Taylor will add depth to a fairly banged-up Giants front seven.

Giants' Devin Taylor: Plays in Monday matchup
Taylor (lower leg) played in Monday's game against the Browns.
Taylor only played in nine snaps Monday night, and it's unclear whether that's a product of a cautious post-injury approach, or if it's due to his long-shot chances of making the roster. Nevertheless, he's healthy enough to play so expect to see him in upcoming preseason games.

Giants' Devin Taylor: Experiencing soreness in lower leg
Taylor missed a second consecutive practice Wednesday due to soreness in his lower leg, SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reports.
This doesn't sound like a serious issue in the slightest, so Taylor should be back in the fold sooner rather than later.

Giants' Devin Taylor: Misses practice Tuesday
Taylor (undisclosed) was sore Tuesday and sat out of practice, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
Taylor will have to continue battling for playing time, but he played well enough last season to win some snaps by default. The University of South Carolina product logged 28 tackles and 4.5 sacks in 2016. This injury seems pretty minor, so don't expect Taylor to stay sidelined too long.

Giants' Devin Taylor: Signs with Giants
Taylor signed a one-year contract Wednesday with the Giants, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Taylor spent the last four seasons with the Lions, and worked in a starting role along the defensive line in 2016. He was a serviceable contributor with 28 tackles and 4.5 sacks, but Taylor will have a tougher path to seeing snaps with the Giants, as Jason Pierre-Paul and Olivier Vernon are locked into starting roles at the two end spots.
