  • Dolphins' Tyrone Holmes: Heading to Miami

Holmes signed a contract with the Dolphins on Monday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

  • Chiefs' Tyrone Holmes: Signs reserve/future contract

Holmes signed a reserve/future contract Tuesday with the Chiefs, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.

Holmes, who was released by the Browns in December, has 15 games under his belt during his first two professional seasons, but he has been relegated primarily to special-teams duty. He will attempt to secure a similar role with the Chiefs in 2018.

  • Tyrone Holmes: Waived by Browns

Holmes was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports.

Holmes was waived by the Browns following their Week 1 loss to the Steelers but had since rejoined the team for the previous three games. He was mainly on the roster to provide depth at defensive end. The 24-year-old is expected to clear waivers and could rejoin the Browns as a practice-squad player.

  • Browns' Tyrone Holmes: Suiting up Sunday

Holmes (knee) is active Week 14 against the Packers.

Holmes was limited in practice this week, but logged a full session Friday and will suit up for the home matchup. He's seen single-digit snaps each game on both defense and special teams since signing with Cleveland.

  • Browns' Tyrone Holmes: Wears questionable tag

Holmes (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Packers, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Holmes was signed in November to add depth to the Browns' defensive front, but now that Myles Garrett (ankle) is healthy, his defensive opportunities will be limited.

  • Browns' Tyrone Holmes: Added to 53-man roster

The Browns signed Holmes off their practice squad Tuesday.

Holmes, a second-year defensive end out of Montana, was cut by the Browns following Week 1 before landing a spot on the team's practice squad. He'll provide added depth to a defensive front that lost Emmanuel Ogbah (foot) and Jamie Meder (ankle) to season-ending injuries during the Week 11 loss to the Jaguars.

  • Tyrone Holmes: Waived by Browns

Holmes was waived by the Browns on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Holmes was brought in just over a week ago, but given the team's pursuit of receiving depth, the second-year pro was let go.

  • Browns' Tyrone Holmes: Signs with Browns

Holmes was signed by the Browns on Thursday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Holmes will provide the team with depth at the defensive end position in the wake of the recent injury to No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett, who was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain. Emmanuel Ogbah is expected to draw the start on one side, and it's likely between Nate Orchard (ankle) and Carl Nassib to take over Garrett's starting role. Despite the late signing, Holmes -- who played in 11 games for Cleveland in 2016 -- is a likely candidate to see snaps in Week 1.

  • Tyrone Holmes: Released by Jaguars Friday

Holmes was released by the Jaguars on Friday, Mike Kaye of First Coast News reports.

Holmes was selected in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, but will not be on the roster for Week 1. He figured to have a long shot at making the final cut, as he was fourth on the depth chart at left defensive end.
