Marcus Baugh: Cut by Pittsburgh
Baugh was let go by the Steelers on Saturday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Baugh's release comes as the Steelers must trim their roster down to 53 players before the regular season. The 6-foot-4, 245-pound tight end was competing for a reserve role, but he did not do enough stick around with the team with depth at the position, headlined by Eric Ebron and Pat Freiermuth.

Marcus Baugh: Cut by Washington
Baugh was released Monday.
Washington restocked the tight end room by drafting John Bates in the fourth round of this year's draft and signing free agent Sammis Reyes, leaving Baugh expendable. Baugh, who caught one pass for two yards last season, will hope to latch on with another team.

Football Team's Marcus Baugh: Makes eight appearances
Baugh played eight games for Washington in 2020, catching his only target for a two-yard again.
Baugh played 54 snaps on offense over the first four weeks of the regular season, and 15 snaps over the final four weeks. In between, he was stuck on the practice squad, while Temarrick Hemingway (wrist) operated as the No. 3 tight end behind Logan Thomas and Jeremy Sprinkle. None besides Thomas had any impact in the passing game, and they all figure to be on the roster bubble (in Washington or elsewhere) next summer.

Football Team's Marcus Baugh: Not on injury report
Baugh (undisclosed) isn't on Washington's injury report to start the week, Nicki Jhablava of The Washington Post reports.
This isn't a surprising development, as Baugh's absence from last week's loss to the Rams wasn't injury-related. The third-string tight end will hope to put in a good week of practice and make the game-day roster Sunday against the Giants.

Football Team's Marcus Baugh: Won't play Week 5
Baugh (undisclosed) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Baugh's absence isn't injury-related, so he may simply be a healthy scratch or addressing something personal. The 25-year-old normally contributes as a depth tight end for Washington, taking most of his snaps as a blocker.

Baugh was cut by the Panthers on Saturday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
