Bunmi Rotimi: Waived with injury settlement
The Commanders waived Rotimi (foot) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Sunday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Per Standig, Rotimi was in the mix for a roster spot before suffering the injury. The 27-year-old has yet to make his regular-season debut, but he'll be free to join a new team once he clears his current foot issue.

Rotimi broke his foot during Saturday's preseason matchup against Kansas City and will be forced to miss the 2022 season. The 27-year-old has yet to make his regular-season debut in the NFL.

Commanders' Bunmi Rotimi: Suffers leg injury
Rotimi injured his leg during Saturday's 24-14 preseason loss at Kansas City, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
The severity of the injury is unclear, and there's no timetable for his return. Jacub Panasiuk should see more reps at defensive end as Rotimi works to make his way back to the field to potentially make one final push at the initial 53-man roster.

The Commanders tendered a contract to Rotimi on Sunday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Rotimi signed with Washington in July 2021 but didn't make his NFL debut last year. He'll remain with the organization but will have to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster during the offseason.
