  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Misses extra point in finale

Murray converted his only field-goal attempt from 42 yards and was successful on two of three extra-point tries in Sunday's 31-24 win over the Saints.

Murray finished off the season in solid fashion, and despite a handful of late-season hiccups, he essentially solved the Buccaneers' kicking woes once he debuted in Week 6. The four-year pro finished 19-for-23 (82.6 percent) on field goals, coming just shy of the 83.3 percent figure he'd posted in his first Tampa stint back in 2014. Murray only missed one field goal under 49 yards, but nailed just 40 percent of his five tries from 50 and beyond. His missed PAT in Week 17 was his first of the season, so he did bring a considerable degree of stability to the position. Heading into the offseason as an exclusive-rights free agent, Murray seems like a sure bet to be tendered a qualifying offer and open 2018 training camp as the presumed starter.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Racks up 13 points in loss

Murray converted field-goal attempts of 31, 41, 21 and 26 yards, missed a 51-yard try and was good on his sole extra point in Sunday's 22-19 loss to the Panthers.

Murray missed a field-goal attempt of greater than 50 yards for the second consecutive week, but he was unsurprisingly automatic from 41 yards and under on his other four tries. The 26-year-old's 13-point haul was his best of the season, and he'll look to finish off a strong campaign with another prolific outing versus the Saints in Week 17.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Misses game-tying field goal

Murray missed a would-be game-tying 54-yard field goal, his only attempt, and was good on all three extra-point tries in Monday night's 24-21 loss to the Falcons.

Murray picked a particularly inopportune time for one of his rare misfires, as he was wide right on his kick as time expired. Naturally, the distance hardly made the attempt a can't-miss proposition, and given Murray's overall body of work this season, he's certainly earned some slack. Despite the miss Monday, Murray is still actually 50 percent (two for four) from 50 yards and beyond, and he's been near-automatic from 49 yards and under. Factoring in his three made point-after attempts Monday, he's now amassed 60 points over 10 games.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Limited to extra points in loss

Murray did not make any field-goal attempts and was perfect on three extra-point tries in Sunday's 24-21 loss to the Lions.

Murray didn't have an opportunity for any field-goal attempts for the first time since his Buccaneers 2017 debut in Week 6. However, he remained perfect on extra points for the season by drilling all three attempts. Murray continues to be one of the most consistent kicker options in fantasy circles, having missed just two field goals all season and posting an impressive 2-for-3 tally from 50 yards and beyond. He'll look to boost his production in a Week 15 home tilt against the Falcons.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Perfect on four kicks in loss

Murray converted field-goal attempts of 36 and 30 yards and was also successful on both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Packers.

Murray continues to be a near-automatic source points each time he puts his leg to the ball, as Sunday's production brought his field-goal accuracy rate to 87.5 percent (14-for-16) and kept him perfect on extra points. The Fordham product now has eight points in back-to-back weeks and 54 on the season despite not having joined the Buccaneers until Week 6.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Compiles eight points in loss

Murray converted field-goal attempts of 35 and 27 yards and made both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Falcons.

Even as the Buccaneers continue to underwhelm in many aspects, Murray remains a bright spot. He's been perfect on all eight tries from less than 39 yards and an impressive 4-for-6 on attempts from 40 yards and deeper. The fourth-year kicker has also been flawless on 10 extra points, further cementing his designation as a solid mid-tier fantasy option.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Nails game-winner in Week 11

Murray drilled field goals of 30, 30 and 35 yards and converted all three extra-point attempts in Sunday's 30-20 win over the Dolphins. He misfired wide right on a 42-yard try in the second quarter.

Murray was near perfect once again, and he came through when it mattered most by drilling a game-winning 35-yard field goal with four seconds remaining. The 26-year-old has been a stabilizing force at a previously volatile position for the Buccaneers, converting 83.3 percent (10-for-12) of his field goals and all eight extra-point tries. He remains a solid mid-tier kicking option, with the inconsistent nature of the Tampa offense the one hindrance to a potentially higher fantasy upside.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Perfect in Week 10 win

Murray successfully converted field-goal attempts of 29, 49 and 37 yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over the Jets. He did not have any extra-point attempts.

Murray's performance in the single-digit win perfectly crystallizes his value to the Buccaneers' struggling offense. With touchdowns particularly hard to come by over the last three games, Murray has become a valuable source of scoring, and his contributions Sunday were pivotal to the victory. Ryan Fitzpatrick was unable to get Tampa into the end zone until the latter half of the fourth quarter, but he did enough to generate a trio of successful drives earlier in the contest. Murray was able to cap off each of those marches with points, allowing the Bucs to build a 9-3 lead prior to them finally hitting paydirt. While the team's offense is a bit on the lackluster side with Fitzpatrick behind center, Murray still retains fantasy value due to his accuracy and long-distance leg.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Another successful 50-yard kick

Murray went 1-for-2 on field goals in Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Saints, successfully converting a 50-yard attempt and misfiring wide left on a 54-yard try. He was successful on his sole extra-point attempt.

Murray continued to flash impressive proficiency from long distance, pushing his career success rate from 50 yards and beyond to 70.0 percent with Sunday's 1-for-2 tally. The fourth-year kicker certainly has plenty of fantasy potential as far as his leg is concerned, but the current moribund state of the Buccaneers offense -- which could persist, given Jameis Winston's expected multi-week absence due to shoulder issues -- caps his overall upside. Murray will hope for more opportunities in Tampa's Week 10 tilt against the Jets.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Good on lone kick in loss

Murray converted his only kick attempt, a 41-yard field goal, in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Panthers.

With the Buccaneers' offense stuck in neutral throughout the afternoon, Murray only saw one scoring opportunity. The 26-year-old has brought some stability to a previously volatile kicking situation, as he's converted all three of his field-goal attempts and all four of his extra-point tries over the first three games of what is his second Tampa stint. He could be primed for more opportunities when the Bucs tangle with the Saints in a potential Week 9 dome shootout.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Perfect on five kicks in loss

Murray drilled field-goal attempts of 50 and 25 yards and was perfect on three extra-point tries in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills.

After not getting an opportunity for any field-goal attempts in his Week 6 debut, Murray was put to the test early Sunday when he was asked to convert a 50-yard field-goal attempt in the first quarter. The 26-year-old was true from that distance and 25 yards later in the period, a welcome sight for a Buccaneers team that's endured its share of poor performance at the position. He also continued to demonstrate his proficiency from long range with his first kick, as it pushed his career tally from 50 yards and beyond to an impressive 6-for-8. Murray should continue seeing plenty of scoring opportunities courtesy of a Tampa offense that has moved the ball well the majority of the season.

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Makes lone extra-point attempt

Murray did not log any field-goal attempts and made his sole extra-point try in Sunday's 38-33 loss to the Cardinals.

Murray didn't have much of a chance to prove he's an upgrade over the recently jettisoned Nick Folk in his debut, with the team's sizable second-half deficit having a major part to play. The Bucs eschewed extra-point attempts in favor of two-point conversion tries after each of their last four touchdowns, only one of which was successful. Murray will hope for more opportunities -- and may well get them -- when Tampa tangles with a stingy Bills defense on the road Week 7, potentially with Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm in place of Jameis Winston (shoulder).

  • Buccaneers' Patrick Murray: Agrees to deal with Tampa Bay

Murray's agents confirmed Monday that their client signed a contract with the Buccaneers, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

After incumbent kicker Nick Folk missed three field goals in their Week 5 loss to the Patriots, the Buccaneers quickly worked out a number of kickers, and they've apparently settled on Murray as Folk's replacement. The team has yet to formally announce Murray's signing, but once that happens, it's expected that Folk will be waived from the 53-man roster in a corresponding move, clearing the way for Murray to make his 2017 debut Sunday against the Cardinals. The Buccaneers have a prior history with Murray, who nailed 20 of 24 field-goal tries as a rookie for the club in 2014, while knocking in all 31 of his extra-point attempts from the shorter distance under previous NFL rules. If Murray is able to showcase more accuracy than his predecessor, he'll profile as at least a middle-tier fantasy kicker while supporting a Bucs offense that has put up 21.3 points per game through four contests in spite of Folk leaving plenty of scoring on the table.
