Vikings' Reshard Cliett: Signs with Vikings
Cliett signed a contract with Minnesota on Thursday, Eric Smith of the Vikings' official site reports.
Cliett was drafted by the Texans in the fifth round of last year's draft but never appeared in a game, bouncing between a few different teams. He was a quality pass rusher in college, totaling six sacks during his senior season for the University of South Florida in 2016. He'll face stiff competition to make the Vikings roster but could catch on as a depth linebacker or special teams player.

Chiefs' Reshard Cliett: Claimed off waivers by Chiefs
Cliett was claimed off waivers by the Chiefs on Tuesday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
A sixth-round draft pick back in 2015, Cliett has been unable to secure a roster spot out of training camp thus far in his career and has yet to play in a regular-season game. He'll have a tough time making the Chiefs roster as well, and he'd likely be nothing more than emergency depth at linebacker if he overcomes the odds.

Texans' Reshard Cliett: Returns to practice
Cliett (hamstring) has returned to practice, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Cliett suffered an injury on the first day of full contact drills and hasn't practiced in two weeks. The former safety has bulked up since being drafted in the sixth round of the 2015 draft out of South Florida and is now considered a linebacker, but needs to build up reps and get on the field for games.

Texans' Reshard Cliett: Kept out of practice
Cliett was held out of practice on Thursday due to hamstring tightness, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Cliett was held out of practice for precautionary reasons, and his tightness was likely just cramps due to the heat. His first chance to return to practice will be on Friday. Cliett appears to be near the back of the Texans' linebacker corps and could just be playing for a backup and special teams role.
