Panthers' Rasheed Bailey: Remains with Carolina
Bailey signed a reserve/future contract with the Panthers on Monday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Bailey reached an injury settlement with the Chargers in early September and finished the season on the Panthers' practice squad. The 24-year-old would likely need to make significant strides and be a special teams contributor to crack the 53-man roster in 2018.

Chargers' Rasheed Bailey: Reaches injury settlement with Chargers
Bailey (ankle) reached an injury settlement with the Chargers on Friday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Bailey signed with the Chargers in early-August, but didn't see a minute of preseason action. The agreement removes him from the team's injured reserve list, leaving him free to sign with another team.

Chargers' Rasheed Bailey: Exits with ankle injury
Bailey went back to the locker room Thursday after suffering an apparent ankle injury, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
As a long shot to make San Diego's roster, an ankle injury does not bode well for Bailey's chances to land on the 53-man roster. He was helped back to the locker room by team trainers and has not returned to action as of the start of the fourth quarter. Bailey has not been officially ruled out for the remainder of the game, however.
