Felton Davis: Waived by Chiefs
Davis (shoulder) has been waived by the Chiefs with a non-football injury designation, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Davis spent his rookie season on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury. It is unclear if he aggravated the injury during the offseason in any way. The 23-year-old will need to get his health back up to par before he has any chance of returning to the field.

Chiefs' Felton Davis: Placed on IR
Davis (shoulder) cleared waivers Sunday and was placed on IR, Brooke Pryor of The Kansas City Star reports.
Davis battled an Achilles injury during the offseason and beginning of training camp, and he suffered a shoulder injury in the final preseason game versus the Packers. He'll remain on injured reserve unless he and the Chiefs reach an injury settlement.

Davis has been ruled out for the remainder of Thursday's preseason game against the Packers.
The severity of Davis' injury isn't clear yet, but he's likely headed for further testing after being ruled out for the last preseason contest. This could hurt his chances of making the 53-man roster with cuts right around the corner.

Chiefs' Felton Davis: Records one catch Saturday
Davis (Achilles) hauled in his lone target for seven yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Steelers.
The rookie receiver entered the NFL while recovering from an Achilles injury, but he appears to be back at full strength given his participation in Saturday's contest. He is currently fighting for a depth spot on the Chiefs' final roster.
