  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Quiet in season finale

Sutton caught one of three targets for 13 yards while also completing his only pass attempt for 16 yards in Saturday's 28-24 loss to the Chiefs.

Sutton ended the season in underwhelming fashion, which was a common refrain through the Broncos' first 16 games. The 26-year-old finishes with 58 catches for 776 yards and just two touchdowns, with shaky quarterback play likely being a significant factor in his disappointing numbers after he inked a four-year, $60.8 million contract extension in November. The Broncos could look to free agency or the draft in order to address their quarterback woes, as neither Teddy Bridgewater or Drew Lock appear to be the long-term answer at the position. An upgrade at quarterback could be what helps to take this offense to the next level and make Sutton a fantasy star.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Three grabs against Bolts

Sutton caught three of five targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 34-13 loss to the Chargers.

With Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick both unable to clear the COVID-19 protocols in time to suit up Sunday, Sutton was the Broncos' top wideout and put together his best yardage total since Week 7. The team's passing game could be at full strength, including the return of Teddy Bridgewater (concussion), in Week 18 against Kansas City however, which would likely limit Sutton's upside.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Suits up Sunday

Sutton (illness) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Sutton, whom coach Vic Fangio indicated earlier in the week could potentially land on the reserve/COVID-19 list, approached the contest officially listed as questionable, but he's available Sunday after all. With Jerry Jeudy (illness) and Tim Patrick (illness) currently on the COVID list, Sutton -- whose production of late has been modest -- is a bounce-candidate versus Los Angeles, given that he seems likely to see his share of Week 17 targets while heading a wideout corps that also includes Kendall Hinton, Diontae Spencer, Seth Williams and Travis Fulgham.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: In line to travel with team

Sutton (illness) has been cleared to travel with the Broncos in advance of Sunday's game against the Chargers, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Sutton, whom coach Vic Fangio previously indicated could land on reserve/COVID-19 list, is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's contest, but Rapoport indicates the wideout is expected to play against the Chargers. If so, Sutton could be busy in week 17, with Jerry Jeudy (illness) and Tim Patrick (illness) currently on the COVID list.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Could land on COVID list

Head coach Vic Fangio said Friday that Sutton may land on the reserve/COVID-19 list prior to Sunday's game against the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

If that happens, Denver's wideout depth would be tested, as Tim Patrick (illness) is already on the COVID list and Jerry Jeudy is expected to be officially placed on it later Friday. As things stand, Kendall Hinton and Diontae Spencer are currently the team's wide receivers without any concerns about their availability.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Listed as questionable for Sunday

Sutton is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers after being listed as non-participant in Friday's walk-through practice due to an illness, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Head coach Vic Fangio previously relayed that Sutton may land on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but that hasn't happened as of Friday's 4 p.m. ET deadline for daily transactions. That said, both Troy Renck of Denver 7 News and Mike Klis of 9News Denver indicate that Sutton's status is pending, so his availability remains worth monitoring closely now that he's officially questionable for Week 17. Fellow wideouts Jerry Jeudy (illness) and Tim Patrick (illness) are currently on the team's COVID-19 list and have already been ruled out for Sunday, leaving Diontae Spencer, Kendall Hinton and practice-squad call-ups Travis Fulgham and Seth Williams as Denver's only fully healthy receivers at the moment.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Minimal production in loss

Sutton caught four of five targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Raiders.

Sutton continues to be plagued by an ineffective passing game, though his 33 yards in Sunday's contest were good for his highest total in the last seven weeks. The 26-year-old wideout is having an extremely disappointing fantasy season, having found the end zone just twice all season while averaging just under 47 yards per game. Sutton will try to get back on track in Week 17 against a Chargers defense giving up the fourth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Upgrades to full activity

Sutton (wrist) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Sutton's reps were capped in the Broncos' first Week 16 session Wednesday, but his ability to upgrade to full activity a day later clears the way for him to play Sunday against the Raiders. With Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) ruled out for the contest, Sutton will be drawing targets this week from Drew Lock, who will be making his first start of the season after previously coming on in relief of an injured Bridgewater on three other occasions. The quarterback change can't hurt Sutton's fantasy outlook, as he's been held to two or fewer receptions in each of the Broncos' last seven games after averaging 5.4 catches through the first seven contests.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Limited session Wednesday

Sutton was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday due to an wrist injury, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.

Sutton's name popped up on the Broncos' fairly lengthy Week 16 injury report Wednesday, though it's unclear if his wrist issue is anything that might affect his status for Sunday's game against the Raiders. In Denver's 15-10 loss to the Bengals in Week 15, Sutton logged a 92-percent snap share and caught just two passes for 12 yards.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Can't produce with seven targets

Sutton recorded two receptions on seven targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Bengals.

Sutton led the team with seven targets, but he managed to finish only fourth on the team in both yards and receptions. Notably, he was targeted only twice in the second half with Drew Lock the primary quarterback after Teddy Bridgewater exited with a concussion. Regardless of who is under center in Denver, Sutton has been a large disappointment across the last seven games as he hasn't recorded more than two receptions or topped 40 yards in that span.
