The former basketball standout for Baylor transitioned to football after his college career and showed potential during the Chiefs' OTAs and minicamp this offseason; however, he will have to wait to pass through waivers in hopes of making his NFL debut elsewhere this coming season.

Vital joined the Chiefs' practice squad in mid-September and remained there for the entirety of the season. A former college basketball who won a national title with Baylor in 2021, Vital first transitioned to football last summer, so a full offseason with Kansas City could prove beneficial toward his development.
