  • Ravens' Nate McCrary: Signs new contract with Ravens

The Ravens signed McCrary to a reserve/contract Tuesday.

The running back was active for one game with the Ravens in 2021, but he will be back with the team for the 2022 season. McCrary appeared in the Ravens' Week 13 game against the Steelers, rushing once for a loss of a yard. He finished the season on the practice squad injured list with an undisclosed injury but appears healthy heading into the offseason.

  • Nate McCrary: Hits practice squad injured list

McCrary (undisclosed) was placed on the Ravens' practice squad injured list Thursday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

The Ravens wanted to get a look at McCrary over the latter portion of the season, although he didn't get into the lone game he was active for in Week 13. He's struggled to stay healthy since, spending time on the COVID-19 list and now this unspecified injury.

  • Nate McCrary: Restored to practice squad

McCrary was activated from the Ravens' practice squad COVID-19 list Friday, Cliffton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports.

McCrary went undrafted out of Saginaw Valley State and signed with the Ravens as a free agent after the 2021 NFL Draft. He was elevated for the Ravens' Week 13 contest against the Steelers, but he had no impact on the game. With the Ravens having no shortage of running back options, it'll take some work for McCrary to see the active roster again, but now that he's back to being active on the practice squad, he'll try to make it happen.

  • Nate McCrary: Set for absence

McCrary (undisclosed) was placed on the Ravens' practice squad COVID-19 list Thursday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

McCrary has spent the majority of the 2021 season on the Ravens' practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster in Week 13 against Pittsburgh and logged one carry for minus-1 yards. However, given his placement on the COVID-19 list, he is unlikely to be eligible for promotion from the practice squad for Sunday's matchup against the Packers.

  • Nate McCrary: Back to practice squad

McCrary reverted to the Ravens' practice squad Monday.

The running back was elevated to the active roster ahead of Baltimore's Week 13 game against the Steelers, losing a yard on his one carry. McCrary will head back to the practice squad ahead of Week 14.

  • Ravens' Nate McCrary: Promoted to face Steelers

McCrary was elevated from the practice squad Saturday, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.

McCrary was elevated after Kevon Seymour (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. It remains unclear if McCrary will be active Sunday, as that would likely require the Ravens to make Ty'Son Williams inactive. Even if he suits up, McCrary would probably see most of his playing time on special teams.

  • Nate McCrary: Joins Baltimore's practice squad

The Ravens signed McCrary to their practice squad Tuesday.

McCrary had a strong preseason for the Ravens, rushing 42 times for 163 yards and a touchdown, but he was scooped up by the Broncos' practice squad after failing to make Baltimore's initial 53-man roster. He didn't appear in any games for the Broncos this season and elected to return to Baltimore instead of staying in Denver. The Ravens continue to cycle through running backs after losing J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee) for the season. They currently have Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman on their active roster, and McCrary now joins Le'Veon Bell on the practice squad.

  • Nate McCrary: Waived by Denver

McCrary was waived by the Broncos on Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Denver's evidently content with its backfield trio of Melvin Gordon, Javonte Williams and Damarea Crockett. McCrary will hope to get another opportunity with an NFL team, whether he's claimed on waivers or signs as a free agent after that point.

  • Broncos' Nate McCrary: Inactive for Week 1

McCrary (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants.

McCrary is not carrying an injury designation, so the backup running back is simply a healthy scratch. His next chance to make his season debut comes Week 2 at Jacksonville.

  • Nate McCrary: Waived by Baltimore

The Ravens waived McCrary on Tuesday.

McCrary was signed as an UDFA by the Ravens this offseason. The Saginaw Valley State running back rushed for 1,060 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 167 carries during his 2019 campaign. He did not play in 2020, as Saginaw Valley State did not have a season due to COVID-19. The Ravens will likely sign him to their practice squad if he clears waivers.

  • Broncos' Nate McCrary: Nabbed off waivers

The Broncos claimed McCrary off waivers on Wednesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

McCrary spent the offseason in Baltimore, but he'll now get a chance to compete for a depth role in Denver's running back room. The undrafted rookie out of Saginaw Valley State didn't play in 2020, but in 2019 he rushed for 1,060 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 167 carries.
