The Patriots elevated Reagor to the active roster Saturday.
Reagor, a 2020 first-round pick, has had a disappointing start to his career and gets a fresh start in New England. He joined the practice squad after failing to make it on the Vikings' 53-man roster following training camp. The pass catcher has tallied 799 yards and four touchdowns on 72 receptions in 44 career games. He will now be available as a depth receiving option when the Patriots host the Dolphins on Sunday Night Football.

Jalen Reagor: Joining New England practice squad
Reagor is slated to join the Patriots' practice squad, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Reagor, who cleared waivers after being let go by the Vikings, will give the Patriots some added depth at wideout, with the team having placed Tyquan Thornton (shoulder) on injured reserve Thursday. Per Schefter, Reagor is a candidate to be elevated to New England's active roster ahead of a Week 1 tilt against the Eagles, the team that took him 21st overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Minnesota will waive Reagor on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Reagor made it through the first day of roster cuts, but he'll now be sent to waivers despite having logged a relatively impressive finish to the preseason. The transaction's largest impact is that it leaves Brandon Powell as the Vikings' clear top punt returner, with Jalen Nailor (leg) also set to be an option when healthy. Reagor seems like a strong candidate to land on Minnesota's practice squad, assuming he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Vikings' Jalen Reagor: Impressive close to preseason
Reagor recorded two receptions for 28 yards in Saturday's 18-17 preseason loss to the Cardinals.
Reagor played only one possession, but he showed immediate rapport with Jaren Hall. He tallied a pair of 14-yard receptions and made the case to hang onto the fifth receiver role for the Vikings heading into the regular season. Reagor should also be in line to handle punt return duties in Week 1 against the Buccaneers.

Minnesota declined Reagor's fifth-year contract option for 2024, so he's no lock to make the final roster. Vikings' Jalen Reagor: Option not picked up by Minnesota
The Vikings have declined Reagor's fifth-year option for 2024, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.
This was a no-brainer for GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. Famously picked one spot ahead of Justin Jefferson at 21st overall by the Eagles in 2020, Reagor has been a major bust and is now teammates with Jefferson in Minnesota. In his first season with the Vikings last year, Reagor turned 13 targets into eight catches for 104 yards and one touchdown while serving as a return man. He won't be guaranteed a roster spot headed into 2023.
