Browns' JoJo Natson: Back on Browns' roster
Natson has been elevated to the Browns' 53-man roster ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Ravens, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Fellow wideout Ja'Marcus Bradley was waived Saturday, so now Natson will be one of four healthy receivers going into Sunday's contest. The other three include Jarvis Landry, Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashard Higgins. Thus, Natson figures to have some opportunities to see the field.

Browns' JoJo Natson: Minor run on offense
Natson did not see any targets on two offensive snaps and returned one kickoff for 15 yards in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Ravens.
Natson was on the gameday roster with Anthony Schwartz (concussion) and Rashard Higgins both inactive, the latter due to a coach's decision. Natson's settled into kick-return duties with Schwartz sidelined, and it's unclear if he takes up an active roster spot when the rookie gets healthy. The Browns are off Week 13 and will resume play the following week against Baltimore.

JoJo Natson: Heads back to Cleveland
Natson was signed to the Browns' practice squad Wednesday.
Natson was beat out for return duties by 2021 sixth-round draft pick Demetric Felton during training camp, but he rejoins the Browns a day after being cut. Cleveland also resigned wideout Ja'Marcus Bradley, giving them two receivers with experience in the system who can step in if Rashard Higgins' leg injury lingers, or if the time missed by rookie Anthony Schwartz during preseason with a knee injury stunted his development.

Natson is listed as the top punt and kick returner on Cleveland's unofficial depth chart heading into preseason Week 1 against Jacksonville on Saturday.
Natson is among a group of players competing for the return job, so nothing is settled yet. Ideally, the Browns would have a returner that fills another role, but Natson is on the outside of the top five at wide receiver. The competition will play out over the preseason.

Browns' JoJo Natson: Knee injury's in rearview mirror
Natson worked as a punt returner in Cleveland's first practice Wednesday, showing that he's recovered from his knee injury, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Natson tore his ACL in Week 3 of the 2020 season but has regained health. His role on offense has been nearly nonexistent in recent years, so Natson's ticket to a roster spot will be winning the punt returner job on special teams.

Natson (knee) signed a one-year deal with Cleveland on Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Natson played in just three games with the Browns during the 2020 season before suffering a torn ACL in Week 3. The 5-foot-7, 153-pounder hasn't logged a target since 2017, when he caught two receptions for 18 yards with the Jets. With Cleveland's receiving corps crowded, the 27-year-old will likely continue his role as a returner for the team in 2021, assuming a full recovery from his knee injury.
