With Sheldon out, Cincinnati will lose some depth in their linebacker corps but should not see any impact in their defensive performance. Hardy Nickerson and Jordan Evans figure to slot in as the main backup linebackers behind starters Nick Vigil and Germaine Pratt.

Browns' Brady Sheldon: Lands with Cleveland
The Browns claimed Sheldon off waivers from the Raiders on Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN.com reports.
Sheldon, a linebacker out of Fresno State, is heading into his second season after appearing in two games last year for the Raiders. He'll be ticketed for a deep reserve and special-teams role if he's able to crack the Browns' 53-man roster in 2018.

Sheldon, an undrafted rookie out of Ferris State, has been on the Raiders' practice squad since November. He figures to provide depth at outside linebacker and on special teams, but he shouldn't have much IDP value at this point.
