Thomsa (concussion) is set to join the Vikings' practice squad, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Thomas' preseason came to an end after he suffered a concussion in Minnesota's exhibition finale. He has since presumably cleared the league's protocols, as he was waived by the team and subsequently picked back up by their practice squad. Thomas (concussion) was waived by the Vikings on Tuesday, Andrew Krammer of the Star Tribune reports.
Thomas exited Minnesota's preseason finale against the Cardinals with a concussion, and it is unclear if he has cleared the league's protocols yet. Regardless, the undrafted free agent was also assumed to be on the outside looking in when it came to making the 53-man roster. Thomas entered the Vikings' medical tent before heading to the locker room during Saturday's preseason contest versus the Cardinals, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Thomas took a big hit on a muffed punt return in the second quarter, though it's unclear exactly what injury he could be dealing with. The undrafted rookie out of NC State did not record a catch before exiting Saturday's contest, and he is likely competing for a spot on Minnesota's practice squad as a deep reserve option at wideout and/or punt returner....
