Jets' Michael Carter: Returns from COVID list
Carter was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Carter missed the Jets' Week 16 contest with the Jaguars, but he'll now be able to return to his nickelback role Sunday against the Buccaneers. The rookie fifth-round draft pick has 61 tackles (36 solo), four passes defensed and two fumble recoveries in 13 games.

Jets' Michael Carter: Placed on reserve/COVID-19 list
Carter (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The cornerback tested positive Tuesday and will now enter the league's COVID-19 protocols, putting his availability for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in question. If Carter is forced to miss the game, Isaiah Dunn and Javelin Guidry may be asked to step into larger roles in the Jets' secondary.
