  • Seahawks' Cody White: Moved to IR

The Seahawks moved White (groin) to injured reserve Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. White sustained the injury early in the first quarter of last Sunday's game against the Titans. With the move to injured reserve, White will be able to return only for a potential Super Bowl matchup, and even then, only if the Seahawks do not score the first-round bye that comes with the NFC's top seed. In corresponding moves, the team signed Amari Kight to the active roster and signed Montorie Foster to the practice squad as a potential elevation replacement for White.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Unlikely to return vs. Carolina

White (groin) is doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the Panthers. White appeared to sustain the injury early in the first quarter while on punt coverage. The Seahawks would be down a pivotal contributor on special teams if White is unable to return, and Dareke Young and Jake Bobo are poised to take on larger roles on offense.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: No targets once again

White wasn't targeted in Thursday's 38-37 overtime win versus the Rams. White logged just six offensive snaps as the team's No. 4 wide receiver. The Seahawks frequently use two tight ends or a fullback, leaving little opportunity for White to get into the mix. He'll likely continue to have a limited role in Week 17 versus the Panthers.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Nursing abdominal injury

White (abdomen) was a limited participant in Monday's walkthrough practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. White may have picked up the injury during the Seahawks' 18-16 win over the Colts on Sunday, when he did not record a target while playing nine snaps on offense. He'll have two more opportunities to increase his practice participation ahead of Thursday's NFC West tilt against the Rams.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: One grab in win

White caught his lone target for 21 yards in Sunday's 26-0 win over the Vikings. White recorded his first catch since Week 9 and his second of the season in the blowout win. He has totaled just 25 total snaps over the last two weeks, and his usage should remain limited as long as Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed are healthy.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: No targets once again

White wasn't targeted in Sunday's 30-24 win over the Titans. Sam Darnold attempted 26 passes, and with 10 of those going towards Jaxon Smith-Njigba, it was difficult for White to get into the mix while playing just 10 offensive snaps. He'll continue to operate as the No. 4 wide receiver in the Week 13 game versus the Vikings.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Elevated for Week 9

White was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. White has played five offensive snaps and six special teams snaps to this point in 2025, and he will look to continue to accumulate playing time during the Seahawks' Week 9 matchup with the Commanders. The 26-year-old wide receiver was elevated to fill in on special teams for the injured Dareke Young and Jake Bobo, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Inactive for Week 5

White (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay. White will be a healthy scratch for a second straight week, and his next opportunity to see the field is Week 6 against the Jaguars on Sunday, Oct. 12. Jake Bobo and Dareke Young will provide depth at wide receiver while White is sidelined.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Healthy scratch for TNF

White (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Cardinals. White was signed to the Seahawks' active roster Tuesday, but he'll observe Thursday's game in street clothes. His next opportunity to play will be Week 5 against Tampa Bay on Sunday, Oct. 5.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Back with Hawks' active roster

The Seahawks signed White from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. White has bounced back and forth between the Seahawks' practice squad and active roster, and Tuesday marked the second time in a week that he was signed to the 53-man roster. He played 11 snaps (five on offense, six on special teams) in the Seahawks' Week 1 loss to the 49ers and finished with 59 kick return yards on two attempts. White could serve in a kick return role alongside George Holani or Dareke Young now that he's back on the active roster.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Signed to active roster

The Seahawks signed White off the practice squad Wednesday. With Tory Horton dealing with a groin issue that limited him in Wednesday's practice, White finds a spot on the 53-man roster with Seattle. The 26-year-old White has appeared in 21 career regular-season games and has secured eight of 10 targets for 79 scoreless yards. He'll provide wideout depth for the Seahawks.

  • Cody White: Goes to Seattle's practice squad

Seattle signed White to its practice squad Friday. The Seahawks had to release him from their active roster Thursday to make room for cornerback Shaquill Griffin, but White is now back with the team as a member of the practice squad. Seattle is carrying only five wide receivers on its 53-man roster, so he could be on the short list for a practice-squad elevation for Week 2 and beyond.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Dealing with shoulder injury

White (shoulder) was a limited participant in Seattle's practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. White had a strong performance during the team's final preseason game but is now in jeopardy of missing the start of the regular season. The Seahawks could find themselves shorthanded at receiver for Sunday's matchup, as Jake Bobo (concussion) and Dareke Young (hamstring) are both dealing with injuries as well.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Scores in preseason finale

White caught three of five targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 20-7 preseason loss to the Packers. With the starters sitting out, White led all Seahawks receivers in receiving yards while scoring the team's only touchdown. The 26-year-old wideout is on the roster bubble, but his strong showing Saturday helps his cause against seventh-round rookie Ricky White.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: No catches in preseason opener

White didn't catch either of his two targets in Thursday's 23-23 tie against the Raiders. White started the first half with Drew Lock at quarterback but was unable to haul in a pass all game. The 26-year-old wideout played four games with the Seahawks last season and caught two passes (three targets) for 44 yards. He's on the roster bubble this season and is primarily competing with fourth-year wideout Dareke Young and rookie Ricky White.

  • Cody White: Not tendered by Seattle

White became an unrestricted free agent Wednesday due to the Seahawks not extending a qualifying tender on his contract, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. White entered the offseason as an exclusive rights free agent, but he'll now be free to sign with another team due to the Seahawks not tendering his contract. White initially signed to Seattle's practice squad in late August after failing to make the team's 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp, but he was signed to the active roster in mid-November. He appeared in four regular-season games for the Seahawks in 2024, but his two catches (on three targets) for 44 yards all came against the Rams in Week 9.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Not playing in finale

White (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams. White, whom Seattle signed off its practice squad in mid-November, will close the season as a healthy inactive for the fifth consecutive game. Before his recent streak of absences, the 26-year-old receiver appeared in four games for Seattle and recorded two catches for 44 yards on three targets over 59 snaps on offense.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Elevated ahead of Week 9 contest

The Seahawks elevated White from their practice squad Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. If he's active Sunday, White will suit up for the first time since he played in one game for the Steelers in 2022. The 25-year-old spent part of last year on Seattle's practice squad but didn't get elevated at any point. White's elevation this weekend is tied to DK Metcalf being sidelined due to a knee injury.

  • Cody White: Let go by Seahawks

White was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. White signed with Seattle in January but was unable to earn a spot on the team's final roster. The 25-year-old will now look for a new opportunity elsewhere.

  • Seahawks' Cody White: Lands reserve/future deal with SEA

The Seahawks signed White to a reserve/future contract Monday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. White got into 15 games with Pittsburgh in 2021, but he's seen action in only one NFL contest since. The wideout had two stints with Seattle's practice squad in 2023 and apparently made enough of an impression for the organization to want to hang onto him through the offseason. White will get a chance to compete for a roster spot during training camp this summer.
