Tony Fields: Works out with Ravens
Baltimore hosted Fields (ankle) for a workout Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Fields landed on Cleveland's injured reserve Sept. 11 due to an ankle injury. He was cut from the Browns' IR on Tuesday, but it appears he's healed enough to get a look from Baltimore. The 2021 fifth-round pick played in all 17 regular-season games for the Browns in 2023, during which he logged 34 tackles (16 solo) and returned a fumble for a touchdown while splitting snaps between defense and special teams.

Fields dealt with an ankle injury during training camp; however, it's not clear if the two are related. His week-to-week timeline might have him leaning closer to doubtful for Week 2 against the Jaguars, but more clarity regarding his potential to play should come as this week progresses.

Fields (foot) returned to practice as a full participant in Tuesday's session, Brad Stainbrook of 247Sports.com reports.
Fields has been limited in practice due to a foot injury, and he has not suited up for either of Cleveland's two preseason contests. Browns' Tony Fields: Heads to locker room
Fields departed for the locker room Saturday with members of the Browns' training staff, Chris Easterling of The Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Fields spent time in the medical tent on Cleveland's sideline before leaving for the locker room, though it's unclear exactly what type of issue he is dealing with. The 2021 fifth-round pick tallied 48 tackles and a pick-six over 17 games in 2022, and, when healthy, he should slot in as a backup behind starting weakside linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.

With five Cleveland linebackers currently on injured reserve, Fields has benefitted with more playing time down the regular season stretch. Browns' Tony Fields: Sets another career high in loss
Fields recorded 10 tackles (six solo) in Saturday's 17-10 loss to the Saints.
For the second consecutive game, Fields set a new career high (10) in the tackling department, after he amassed a career-high six stops versus Baltimore the week prior. The second-year pro has benefitted from the absences of fellow linebackers Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (foot), Jacob Phillips (pectoral), Anthony Walker (quadriceps) and Sione Takitaki (knee) over the last few weeks, and Fields should continue to do so when the Browns square off against Washington on New Year's Day.

Fields recorded four tackles (three solo), a forced fumble and an interception returned for a touchdown in Sunday's 27-14 win over the Texans.
Fields logged one of the Browns' two defensive touchdowns against Houston, picking off Kyle Allen for a 16-yard return in the fourth quarter. The second-year linebacker also forced a fumble that led to a four-yard scoop-and-score touchdown by cornerback Denzel early in the third quarter. Fields' 30 defensive snaps marked the most significant playing time of his career, and he'll likely be on tap for increased usage moving forward after starting linebacker Sione Takitaki suffered a torn ACL on Sunday.
