Packers' Matthew Golden: Falls out of favor in return Sunday
Golden (wrist) failed to bring in his only target in Sunday's 28-21 win over Chicago.
Golden fell out of favor after returning from a two-game layoff due to a wrist injury. The first-round rookie watched six teammates finish with higher target counts in the win. This was the concern regarding Golden's usage now that Green Bay's receiver room is back at full strength. Jayden Reed (foot/shoulder) was activated from injured reserve prior to Sunday's contest and was far more involved than Golden, making the former the more desirable Packers' returning receiver to go after on the wire ahead of next Sunday's tilt against Denver.

Packers' Matthew Golden: Returning to action Sunday
Golden (wrist) is active for Sunday's game against the Bears, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
Golden has missed three of the last four contests due to shoulder and wrist injuries, but in his return to the lineup Week 14, he'll welcome back third-year WR Jayden Reed (foot/shoulder), who has been sidelined since Week 2. Considering all of Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks entered the weekend without designations, Golden and Reed may be capped to certain situations behind that trio. Having said that, Golden has managed just a 24-286-0 line on 32 targets in nine appearances to begin his career, so he's difficult to trust for consistent production.

Packers' Matthew Golden: Questionable for Week 14
Golden (wrist) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Golden has a chance to return following a two-game absence. He was a limited participant in all three of Green Bay's practices during Week 14 prep. After being listed as limited on Green Bay's Week 13 injury report Monday through Wednesday, Golden -- who also was inactive this past Sunday against the Vikings -- approached Thursday's contest listed as questionable. In Golden's continued absence, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks are in line to lead the Packers' WR corps versus Detroit, with Malik Heath, Bo Melton and Will Sheppard available to mix in. Golden's next chance to see game action will arrive Sunday, Dec. 7 against the Bears.

Golden (wrist) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Lions, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Golden logged another limited practice session Wednesday. The rookie first-round pick had practiced in a limited capacity prior to being ruled out for Week 12 against the Vikings, a game for which he was also listed as questionable, so it's possible his status for Thanksgiving Day will come down to the wire. Green Bay will make Golden's availability, or lack thereof, official no later than 90 minutes prior to Thursday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
