Golden brought in seven of 13 targets for 79 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' 27-19 win over the Panthers on Thursday.
The second-year speedster finished second in receptions and receiving yards for the Packers on the night, while also leading the way in targets with a season-high-tying figure. Golden struck for his fourth touchdown of the season as well on a 24-yard scoring grab just after the two-minute warning in the first half, and the 2025 first-round pick now has at least six catches in four consecutive contests. Golden should remain busy in a Week 9 road showdown against the Patriots on Sunday, Nov. 8, one where New England shutdown cornerback Christian Gonzalez could spend the majority of his time on Christian Watson.

Golden was contained to just one limited walkthrough (Wednesday) during Week 8 prep due to shoulder and foot injuries, but James Palmer of NFL on Prime Video reported earlier Thursday that the Packers were optimistic about the second-year wide receiver's availability. Coming out of Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Lions, Golden is nursing a pair of injuries that have resulted in him going down as a non-participant on the Packers' Week 8 injury report. The Packers will see if Golden can upgrade to limited or full participation in Wednesday's session before deciding whether he'll carry a designation into Thursday's game against the Panthers. Golden gathered in six of 12 targets for 39 yards during Sunday's 20-17 defeat in Detroit.
Golden has been targeted at least 12 times by QB Jordan Love in four of seven appearances this season, resulting in three 100-yard efforts to date. Drops and near misses between the two continue to be a feature in the Packers offense, though, as Golden has recorded a catch rate of 50 percent or better four times, with his mark in 2026 sitting at only 52.2 percent.
