Applefield's (back) practice-squad contract with the Ravens expired Monday, per the league's official transactions log.
Applefield was placed on the practice squad injured list Dec. 18, and he never got his shot at the top level. The team didn't sign the 24-year-old to a reserve/future contract, so he'll look for another team in 2020.

Marcus Applefield: Placed on practice squad IR
Applefield (back) was placed on Baltimore's practice squad injured list Wednesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
The 24-year-old offensive tackle is dealing with a back injury that will cause him to miss the remainder of the 2019 season. Applefield will now turn his focus to rehabbing and getting healthy for 2020.
