  • Patriots' Karon Prunty: Missing third consecutive game

Prunty (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Chicago.

Prunty will be sidelined for a third-straight game due to a hamstring injury that he picked up during the Patriots' Week 4 win over the Bills. With Carlton Davis (neck) and Channing Canada (hamstring) also ruled out, Charles Woods and Christian Gonzalez will serve as the Patriots' starting outside cornerbacks for Thursday night's game while Elliott Davison and Kindle Vildor provide depth at the position. Prunty's next chance to play is Week 8 against the Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 1.

  • Patriots' Karon Prunty: Out for Week 6

Prunty (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets.

Prunty has not practiced since sustaining a hamstring injury in the Patriots' Week 4 win over the Bills. The cornerback missed Week 5 and will now miss Week 6 due to the injury. Even if Prunty were to return, Christian Gonzalez and Charles Woods would likely be the starting duo at outside cornerback.

  • Patriots' Karon Prunty: Idle for Week 5

Prunty (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Las Vegas.

Prunty didn't practice all week due to a hamstring injury, which he likely picked up during the Patriots' Week 4 win over the Bills. The rookie fifth-rounder's next chance to play is Week 6 against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 18, but his absence means the Patriots will have one less contributor on special teams.

  • Patriots' Karon Prunty: Headed to New England

The Patriots selected Prunty in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 171st overall.

Prunty (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) began his college career at Kansas and then spent three seasons with North Carolina AT&T before transferring to Wake Forest in 2025, where he was named to the All-ACC third team. It's something of a surprise to see Prunty come off the board this early, especially given that New England has a pair of entrenched starters at cornerback in Carlton Davis and Christian Gonzalez. As a rookie, Prunty will need to compete for depth opportunities with Kindle Vildor, Charles Woods, Kobee Minor and Marcellas Dial (ACL).
