  • Corban Knight: Headed for KHL

Knight put pen to paper on a one-year contract with Barys Nur-Sultan (KHL) on Tuesday.

Knight appeared in 23 games for the Flyers this season, in which he tallied one goal, three helpers and 15 shots. With the center bouncing between leagues, he only saw action in eight AHL contests, though he put up 10 points in those outings. Drafted by the Panthers in the fifth round of the 2009 NHL Draft, this could mark the end of the 28-year-old's time in the NHL, where he logged a total of 52 games for Calgary, Florida and Philadelphia.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Drops to minors

The Flyers reassigned Knight to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

Knight played the final 20 games of the season with the big club, producing four points and a minus-5 rating. The 28-year-old will look to help the minor-league club secure a playoff spot as the team hits its final stretch of games.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Sent to waiver wire

The Flyers waived Knight on Wednesday, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.

Knight is a prime candidate to be sent back to the minors in the event that he clears waivers, but then again, there are only two games remaining on the regular-season schedule for the Flyers and the club might want to get one last look at the pending UFA.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Producing more

Knight has three assists with a plus-2 rating in the last three games.

It's been a nice little run for the 28-year-old, but he still has work to do to reach a career high in points during 2018-19. In the last season in which he played in the NHL (2015-16), Knight played 20 games, scoring two goals and seven points. This season, he's matched that career high in games, but scored only one goal with four points. All three of his assists this season have come in the last three contests.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Gets point monkey off back

Knight scored his team's first goal in Thursday's 3-1 win over Chicago.

The tally was Knight's first point in 15 NHL games this season. He's up to four goals and nine points in 44 career games, with his last goal before this one coming on Jan. 5, 2016. Never give up on your dreams, kids.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Still pointless

Knight posted a shot on goal in a 2-1 overtime victory against the Penguins on Sunday, but he still doesn't have a point in 13 games with the Flyers.

The 28-year-old is receiving his first chance in three years to play at the NHL level, but he's not really taking advantage of it. Not that he's all to blame, and the Flyers seem content to continue giving him chances, but Knight has only posted a minus-4 rating and 11 shots on net in 13 contests. He has three goals and eight points with a minus-2 rating in 42 career NHL games.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Still searching for first point

Knight remained pointless during a 5-3 loss to the Capitals on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old is making his first NHL appearance this season since 2015-16, and in eight games, he has zero points and a minus-2 rating. The only real contribution Knight has made is in the faceoff circle. After winning eight of 10 draws versus the Capitals, he has won 64.1 percent of his faceoffs this season.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Summoned by parent club

The Flyers recalled Knight from AHL Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.

The Flyers are almost certainly going to move Wayne Simmonds prior to Monday's trade deadline, so they may opt to hold him out of the lineup Saturday and slot Knight in against the Penguins instead. The 28-year-old forward has notched six points in four AHL appearances this season.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Hits waivers

The Flyers placed Knight on waivers Saturday,

Knight has been on injured reserve since late October, but his placement on waivers suggests that he's finally clear of the collarbone issue. Assuming he clears, Knight should be headed for AHL Lehigh Valley.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Ditches non-contact jersey

Knight (collarbone) skated in a regular sweater at Friday's practice session, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.

According to coach Scott Gordon, Knight will need to participate in some more contact practices before he can be cleared, but seems to be nearing a return, per Bill Meltzer of NHL.com. Knight will likely be shipped down to the minors once given the green light to play, though he could earn a call-up down the stretch.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Skating in non-contact sweater

Knight (collarbone) took the ice in a non-contact jersey at the Flyers' practice session Monday, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.

Knight has been on injured reserve since being injured in late October, having played in three games to start the season. The center will likely spend some time in the minors before getting a crack at the 23-man roster.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Looking for answers

Knight (collarbone) is scheduled to meet with a doctor Friday, but there currently is no timetable for his return, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Perhaps the doctor visit itself will be able to yield a prognosis for Knight, who has been out since Oct. 27. Either way, he's a depth center who doesn't merit attention in the fantasy realm.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Ahead of schedule in recovery

Knight (collar bone) is expected to be cleared to return to practice after meeting with Philadelphia's team doctor on Jan. 17.

Knight was originally expected to be sidelined until March after breaking his collarbone in late October, but the Flyers now expect him to be ready to return to game action in mid-to-late February. His return will bolster Philadelphia's depth up front, but it won't impact any fantasy lineups, as he's only totaled eight points in 32 NHL appearances over the past six seasons.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Out four months

Per general manager Ron Hextall, Knight is expected to be sidelined for four months with a broken collarbone.

Knight's absence will obviously impact the Flyers' depth up front, but it shouldn't affect any fantasy lineups, as the veteran forward has gone scoreless while averaging less than 10 minutes of ice time in three appearances this campaign. Another update on the 2009 fifth-round pick's status should surface once he returns to practice with his teammates, which likely won't happen until mid-February at the earliest.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Lands on IR

Knight (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.

Knight was injured in Saturday's game versus the Islanders. He spent time on IR with an upper-body injury earlier this season, and it's unclear if this is related. Knight has no points through three games and has remained in the bottom six, so his absence won't affect the fantasy realm. Either Nicolas Aube-Kubel or Tyrell Goulbourne will now enter the fold.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Leaves game, will not return

Knight (upper body) left Saturday's game versus the Islanders and will not return, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.

The 28-year-old left in the first period of Saturday's contest and the team announced shortly after that he would not return to the game. Knight, prior to Saturday, had played in just two games this season, failing to register a point in either contest. He is "not to be trusted" in any fantasy format.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Has dressed just one game

Knight has played in one game and posted no points with one shot against the Blue Jackets.

The 28-year-old suffered an upper-body injury during the preseason, which caused him to miss the season opener. When he returned, Knight still sat as a healthy scratch until receiving his first chance to play on Oct. 18. Since then, though, Knight has sat out as a healthy scratch in the last two contests. Last season, Knight scored two goals and seven points with 18 hits in 20 games. If he can ever crack the lineup on a regular basis, Knight could be a decent depth piece in leagues with hits, but that's a big "if."

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Activated from injured list

Knight (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Sunday evening, Dave Isaac of the Courier Post reports. Still, it's not clear if he'll draw into Tuesday's home game against the Panthers.

Knight only has eight points between the Flames and Panthers (29 games), so fantasy owners in need of a center should seek alternatives while the B.C. native rounds out his recovery.

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Inching closer to return

Knight (upper body) is not quite ready to return, Marc Narducci of The Inquirer reports.

The Flyers are dealing with injuries to five forwards -- including James van Riemsdyk (lower body) and Nolan Patrick (upper body) -- therefore the team really could have used a healthy Knight for Saturday's matinee against Vegas. "He needs a little more practice time," GM Ron Hextall said. "He is getting close. I watched today (Friday), and he needs a little more contact, but he is getting close."

  • Flyers' Corban Knight: Facing three-week absence

Knight (upper body) will miss three weeks, Sports Talk Philadelphia reports.

Knight hasn't appeared in an NHL game since the 2015-16 season with the Panthers, but the B.C. native was hoping for a legitimate chance to impress in training camp, as he's expected to play out the second and final year of a two-way deal with the Flyers. Once he's healthy, look for Knight to be reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley.
