At this point, barring a false positive, Schmidt should be expected to miss at least the team's upcoming back-to-back versus Buffalo and Toronto on Wednesday and Thursday in addition to Saturday's clash with the Kings. The defenseman is currently stuck in a 13-game goal drought, though that shouldn't be completely surprising considering he has never reached the 10-goal threshold in his career.
