Bruins' Andrew Peeke: Cleared to play Friday
Peeke (finger) will be available for Game 3 against the Panthers on Friday, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.
Peeke figures to replace Parker Wotherspoon on the third pairing, though Derek Forbort could also be in danger of being relegated to the press box. Considering the 26-year-old Peeke has managed just one point in his last 15 outings, fantasy players probably shouldn't expect much from him on the offensive end.

Bruins' Andrew Peeke: Not close to returning
Peeke (finger) is a "couple weeks away" from returning, coach Jim Montgomery told Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe on Wednesday.
Peeke had a goal, 10 points, 14 PIM, 88 hits and 78 blocks in 38 rcontests between Columbus and Boston during the regular season. His timetable rules him out for the remainder of the first round, but Peeke might be an option later in the playoffs if the Bruins advance. Boston holds a 3-2 series lead over Toronto heading into Game 6 on Thursday.

Bruins' Andrew Peeke: Suffers finger injury
Peeke was unavailable for the third period of Game 2 against the Leafs on Monday due to an apparent finger injury, Jim McBride of the Boston Globe reports.
Peeke managed just 10:20 of ice time before being forced out of Monday's contest. If the defenseman is unavailable for Game 3 on Wednesday, Parker Wotherspoon might draw into the lineup. It's also possible Derek Forbort (undisclosed) will be activated off long-term injured reserve before the clash against Toronto.

Bruins' Andrew Peeke: Won't travel to Toronto
Peeke (finger) will not make the trip to Toronto for Game 3 or 4 and is officially considered week-to-week, ESPN's Kristen Shilton reports Tuesday.
Peeke recorded just one point in his last 15 games, so few fantasy players will be impacted by his absence. With Derek Forbort (undisclosed) having been recalled from a conditioning assignment with AHL Providence, he could be in line to replace Peeke in the lineup for Game 3 on Wednesday. Mason Lohrei was also called up from the minors and could be in the mix for minutes due to Peeke's absence.

Bruins' Andrew Peeke: Acquired by Bruins
Peeke was traded to Boston from Columbus in exchange for Jakub Zboril on Friday, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic. In addition, the Bruins sent a 2027 third-round pick to the Blue Jackets.
Peeke has a goal, eight points, 43 hits and 47 blocks in 23 contests with the Blue Jackets in 2023-24. He might serve on the Bruins' third pairing, but it's also possible Peeke will spend some time as a healthy scratch.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Pots first tally of season
Peeke produced an even-strength goal and a shorthanded assist in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Penguins.
The second-period goal was his first of the season, while the points were his first since Jan. 13, snapping a seven-game point drought that had seen him be a frequent healthy scratch. Peeke only drew into the lineup Tuesday due to some missing bodies among the forward ranks, as the Blue Jackets went with seven defensemen, but this performance was good enough that it might earn him a spot among the team's regular pairings.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Healthy scratch again Sunday
Peeke was a healthy scratch for Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers.
The 25-year-old blueliner drew into the lineup for a few games last week while Erik Gudbranson was ill, but Peeke quickly returned to the press box. On the season, he has only one assist in seven games with a minus-5 rating, but he has contributed 13 hits and 12 blocked shots. With Gudbranson potentially facing a suspension for an incident in Sunday's game, Peeke could find his way back into the lineup, but he's unlikely to make much of an impact.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Out of lineup Saturday
Peeke was a healthy scratch for Saturday's win over the Rangers.
Even with Zach Werenski (quadriceps) out of action, Peeke still got bumped from the lineup after recording three hits, three blocked a shots, a minus-1 rating and one bad line change that led to a two-on-nothing rush and a Flyers goal in the Blue Jackets' opener. Top prospect David Jiricek looked very good Saturday in his season debut, so Peeke could have trouble working his way back onto the ice even before Werenski gets healthy.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Manages apple in rout
Peeke recorded an assist to complement three blocked shots in Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Peeke snapped a 10-game point drought with the helper and endured 21:13 of ice time in a game that couldn't end fast enough for the Blue Jackets. The American has collected five goals and six assists through 70 games; those numbers won't excite fantasy managers, but he does have 157 hits and 173 blocked shots to sharpen his defensive profile.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Scores Tuesday
Peeke scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Capitals.
Peeke got Columbus on the board late in the first period, firing a shot from the point that Charlie Lindgren couldn't handle. It's Peeke's first goal in eight games and his first point in four. The 24-year-old blueliner has played a fairly consistent top-paring role in Columbus this season but has yet to produce much offensively, with five goals and three assists through 49 games. He has added some physicality with 105 hits and 100 blocked shots.

Peeke scored a goal in Columbus' 3-1 loss to the Rangers on Monday.
Peeke found the back of the net at 1:21 of the third period to narrow the Rangers' lead to 3-1, but Columbus wasn't able to chip away at New York's edge any further. It was his fourth goal and sixth point in 41 games this season. The 24-year-old was held off the scoresheet in his previous eight outings.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Four hits in win over Canes
Peeke recorded four hits and a minus-1 rating in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over Carolina.
After being a healthy scratch for the last game of 2022 and the first game of 2023, Peeke has drawn back into the Blue Jackets' lineup and seen significant ice time over the last two contests, including a team-high 25:16 on Saturday. The 24-year-old offers little offensive upside with three goals and five points over 36 games this season, but his 77 hits and 69 blocked shots highlight his value to Columbus as a stay-at-home defender.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Struggling to make impact
Peeke has only one point, an assist, over his last 11 games with seven shots on goal and a minus-11 rating.
The 24-year-old blueliner does have 20 hits and 30 blocked shots during that stretch, but his physical play isn't making up for his poor defensive numbers. Peeke hasn't seen increased playing time in the wake of injuries to Zach Werenski (shoulder) and Jake Bean (shoulder), and he will likely need to elevate his game if he wants to take advantage of those opportunities.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Collects first marker
Peeke scored what proved to be the game-winner Sunday as the Blue Jackets cruised past the Rangers 5-1.
Peeke, who entered Sunday with just three goals in 121 NHL games, provided a rare dose of offense. The 24-year-old blueliner notched his first goal of the season and added a plus-2 rating, two hits and two blocks in 24:13 of ice time. After opening the season with a minus-5 rating during the Blue Jackets' first two games, Peeke is a plus-8 over his last five outings.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Grabs three-year extension
Peeke inked a three-year, $8.25 million contract with Columbus on Wednesday.
Peeke played in all 82 games for the Jackets last season in which he recorded two goals on 72 shots, 13 assists and 191 hits while averaging 21:28 of ice time. While the 24-year-old blueliner could see an uptick in ice time this upcoming season, he is unlikely to be a significant factor on the power play, which will limit his offensive upside.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Nabs helper in loss
Peeke posted an assist, three hits, two blocked shots and two shots on goal in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Peeke snapped his 14-game point drought with a helper on Oliver Bjorkstrand's second-period marker. The 23-year-old Peeke has seen a top-pairing role since mid-January, though he's more of a physical defenseman. He's at 11 points, 45 shots on net, 136 hits, 119 blocks and a minus-13 rating through 57 appearances. With Jake Bean (groin) back in the fold, Peeke will need to maintain a decent level of play to avoid a return to a bottom-four role.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Solidifying spot on top pairing
Peeke is 20th in the NHL in average ice time (24:44 per game) since being slotted alongside Zach Werenski on the Blue Jackets' top pairing, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
While Peeke hasn't been productive in traditional fantasy categories during that stretch -- only one assist in 13 games with a minus-7 rating -- he's been an effective physical complement to Werenski, recording 26 hits and 32 blocked shots. The 23-year-old Peeke was a second-round pick in the 2016 Draft, and while he'll likely never be an asset on the offensive end, he's developing into a formidable stay-at-home defender.

Blue Jackets' Andrew Peeke: Records helper in win
Peeke produced an assist, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Canadiens.
Peeke set up Cole Sillinger's third-period insurance tally. The assist ended a five-game point drought for Peeke, who continues to grow into a top-four role as a defensive presence. He's at 10 points, 104 hits, 80 blocked shots, 28 PIM and a minus-6 rating in 42 contests this season. The second-round pick from 2016 will likely need to do more on offense to draw widespread fantasy interest.
