  • Rangers' Dryden Hunt: Activated off IR

Hunt (upper body) was activated off injured reserve Tuesday.

Hunt has missed the last four games while on injured reserve dealing with an upper-body injury. The 26-year-old has averaged 13:08 of ice time and distributed one assist over his last 10 appearances. He could appear as soon as Wednesday's home game against Toronto.

  • Rangers' Dryden Hunt: Lands on IR

Hunt (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Friday.

The Rangers have yet to release a specific timetable for Hunt's return, but now that he's on IR, he'll miss the team's next three games at a minimum. The bottom-six winger has only picked up seven points through 35 contests this year, so most fantasy managers shouldn't need to keep tabs on his status.

  • Rangers' Dryden Hunt: Dealing with upper-body injury

Hunt is considered day-to-day with an upper-body issue.

If Hunt is forced to miss game action, Morgan Barron will likely draw into the lineup in his place. Another update on Hunt, who's picked up seven points through 35 contests this season, should surface once he's cleared to play.

  • Rangers' Dryden Hunt: Records helper Tuesday

Hunt logged an assist, three shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Hunt snapped a four-game point drought when he set up Julien Gauthier's third-period tally. The 26-year-old Hunt has produced seven points, 38 shots, 57 hits and 29 PIM in 28 contests this season. He's three points shy of his career-high 10 points from 2018-19 when he was with the Panthers -- the Canadian forward will likely end this campaign with new high-water marks across the board, especially if he can continue to play on the Rangers' second line.

  • Rangers' Dryden Hunt: Lights lamp before ejection

Hunt scored a goal on two shots before being handed a five-minute major penalty and game misconduct, resulting in 15 PIM, in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Flyers.

Hunt continued his strong play since being promoted to a line with Artemi Panarin and Ryan Strome, scoring his third goal in the last five games to put the Rangers up 2-0 in the opening frame. Funny enough, that ended up being the game-winning goal, even though Hunt was gone from the game well before its conclusion. He was assessed a five-minute major and game misconduct early in the second period for a hit on Justin Braun. Hunt tried to hold up and Braun turned into it a bit, but he ultimately connected right between the numbers and drew blood. The play was on the tame side as far as ejections go and Braun stayed in the game, so Hunt's unlikely to face any further discipline, which means he should be right back on a line with Strome and Panarin against the Sharks on Friday.

  • Rangers' Dryden Hunt: Two-point effort Friday

Hunt scored a goal and an assist in Friday's 5-2 win over the Bruins.

The 26-year-old took advantage of some ice time alongside alongside Artemi Panarin and Ryan Strome, assisting on the latter's tally late in the first period before Hunt scored his own in the second. The performance doubled his point total on the season through 20 games, but if he maintains a top-six role at even strength, he could have some fantasy value in deeper formats, particularly ones that use secondary categories -- Hunt laid four more hits Friday, giving him 40 on the season.

  • Rangers' Dryden Hunt: Nets lone goal in loss

Hunt scored a goal and levied two hits in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Flames.

Hunt got the Rangers on the board at 5:25 of the third period, but that was it for their offense. It was the 25-year-old's first goal and point in seven games as a Ranger after he signed a two-year contract in the offseason. The winger had eight points in 26 outings with the Coyotes last year, and he'll typically offer more from a physical standpoint than on the scoresheet.

  • Rangers' Dryden Hunt: Lands deal with New York

Hunt signed a two-year contract with the Rangers on Wednesday.

Hunt drew into 26 games with the Coyotes last season, picking up eight points and 94 hits over that span. He may bounce between levels in 2021-22 and won't produce much offense, so he almost certainly won't break out as a useful fantasy option.

Hunt wasn't qualified by the Coyotes, so he'll become an unrestricted free agent Wednesday, CapFriendly reports.

Hunt appeared in 26 games with Arizona last season, notching eight points over that span. The 25-year-old winger shouldn't have much trouble catching on with a new club this offseason.

Hunt has picked up a goal and two assists in his last four games. That productive run has made him a bottom-six fixture recently. He's picked up six points, 24 shots, 54 hits and a minus-4 rating in 15 contests. Hunt will need to stay productive to stay in the lineup over the likes of Lane Pederson and Michael Chaput.

Hunt recorded an assist, four shots on goal and five hits in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche.

The 25-year-old forward is at five points, 22 shots on net, 52 hits and a minus-5 rating through 14 contests. He mainly works in the bottom six when he plays.

Hunt scored a goal on three shots and added a team-high eight hits in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Golden Knights.

Hunt's third-period tally gave the Coyotes some momentum, but the Golden Knights' lead was too much to overcome. The 25-year-old forward has just four points, 18 shots on net and 41 hits through 12 appearances this season. When he plays, he's typically limited to a bottom-six role.

The 25-year-old has three points, 13 shots on net, 26 hits and a minus-1 rating in nine appearances. He's played in the last two games -- it appears Hunt has earned more playing time in the Coyotes' bottom six.

  • Coyotes' Dryden Hunt: Offers helper

Hunt posted an assist, a pair of shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Kings.

Hunt had a hand in Phil Kessel's second-period tally. The assist was Hunt's second point in five games for the Coyotes. The 25-year-old has added six shots on net, 11 hits and a minus-2 rating in a limited bottom-six role, so there's little reason for fantasy managers to have interest.
