Ducks' Tyson Hinds: Pockets two helpers in Gulls' win
Hinds recorded a pair of assists in AHL San Diego's 7-0 win over Abbotsford on Saturday.
Hinds has had a terrible start to 2025-26, as these were his first two points in nine contests. He's added 14 shots on net and a plus-4 rating so far. He's likely not the first option for a call-up should the Ducks need defensive reinforcements -- Tristan Luneau, Noah Warren and Stian Solberg are all in the mix as well.

Hinds has two goals and one assist in 16 AHL outings during the 2024-25 campaign. Hinds will most likely serve as Anaheim's extra blueliner Wednesday against Seattle as Urho Vaakanainen's (upper body) status remains unclear. Hinds has yet to make his NHL debut. The left-shot defenseman has recorded two goals and an assist across 16 games with the Gulls this season.

Hinds was reassigned to AHL San Diego on Tuesday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Hinds came on the Ducks' road trip to serve as an extra defenseman, but he was sent back to the AHL before the second half of a back-to-back when it was clear his services wouldn't be needed. The 21-year-old will have to wait for another opportunity to make his NHL debut.
