Bruins' John Beecher: Points in two straight
Beecher had an assist, one shot and three hits in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Canadiens.
Beecher went strong to the net and was rebuffed by Cayden Primeau, but the goalie couldn't stop Cole Koepke's follow up. The primary assist gave Beecher his second assist in as many games. The fourth-line forward is averaging a healthy 13:58 TOI per game; however, a good chunk of that is for his role as a penalty killer. The Bruins are second in the NHL with 31 PIM and first in shorthanded time on ice (23:19) through two contests.

Bruins' John Beecher: Contributes assist Tuesday
Beecher provided an assist, three shots on goal and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Panthers.
Beecher made the Opening Night roster as a fourth-line forward, though he ended up with 15:18 of ice time. It's an encouraging start for the 23-year-old, who had a modest 10 points and added 112 hits in 52 regular-season outings in 2023-24 while also appearing in 12 of the Bruins' 13 playoff games. Beecher didn't put up high-end scoring numbers in his NCAA career at Michigan nor at AHL Providence prior to his call-up last year, so his fantasy value will be limited to deeper formats that count hits.

Bruins' John Beecher: Pots goal Saturday
Beecher scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 1.
Beecher had just one goal over his last 10 contests during the regular season. The 23-year-old was briefly assigned to AHL Providence following the Bruins' penultimate regular-season game, but he was recalled to play in a fourth-line role once more to begin the playoffs. He had 10 points, 112 hits and 38 shots on net over 52 appearances as a rookie this year, but there's always a risk he could sit for a more veteran forward if his play is underwhelming in the postseason.

Beecher played in 52 games with Boston during the regular season, scoring seven times while adding three helpers. The 23-year-old, who was selected 30th overall in the 2019 Draft, chipped in with 112 hits and 34 blocked shots in his rookie campaign. He could get into the lineup in a bottom-six role at some point during the playoffs .

Bruins' John Beecher: Returned to AHL affiliate
Beecher was reassigned to AHL Providence on Tuesday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.
Beecher will switch spots with Jayson Megna, who was recalled in a corresponding move. This may be a temporary change -- it wouldn't be surprising to see Beecher, who's picked up 10 points and 112 hits through 52 top-level contests this season, back with the Bruins for the playoffs.

Bruins' John Beecher: Promoted to NHL
Beecher was called up from AHL Providence on Monday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.
Beecher has registered just one goal and one assist in his last 18 outings while dishing out 41 hits in that span. He hasn't played an NHL game since Jan. 13. The center's call-up is likely precautionary, as Charlie Coyle was reportedly under the weather, though he is still expected to play against the Blues on Monday. It will likely take an injury or illness among one of the Bruins' forwards for Beecher to get into the lineup.

Bruins' John Beecher: Buries goal Monday
Beecher scored a goal and blocked two shots in Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Avalanche.
Beecher snapped a six-game point drought with the tally. The 22-year-old was scratched in two of the previous three contests as the Bruins recently welcomed back Matthew Poitras from the World Junior Championship. Beecher remains in a fourth-line role when he plays, giving him limited upside on offense. He has five goals, two assists, 26 shots on net, 56 hits, 25 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 36 appearances.

Bruins' John Beecher: Puts bow on scoring
Beecher scored a goal in Monday's 5-2 road loss against the Blue Jackets.
Beecher struck for his fourth goal of the season at 17:40 of the third period, with helpers to Kevin Shattenkirk and Trent Frederic, putting a bow on the scoring. It was much too little and too late, and Spencer Martin was able to handle the high-octane Boston offense for most of the night. Beecher has had three goals in the past five games, but he remains useful only in the deepest of fantasy pools.

Bruins' John Beecher: Pots GWG Wednesday
Beecher scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the Panthers.
The rookie center put the Bruins in the lead for good midway through the second period by grabbing a loose puck in the slot, outwaiting Sergei Bobrovsky and then getting a bit lucky as his attempt to slide the puck over the goal line banked in off Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Beecher, the 30th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, is getting his feet wet in a fourth-line role, but he's scored in back-to-back games and all three of his goals this season have come in the last seven contests.

Bruins' John Beecher: Nets first NHL goal
Beecher scored a goal on three shots in Monday's 3-2 win over the Stars.
Beecher opened the scoring at 10:21 of the first period with his first NHL tally. The 22-year-old had gone eight games without a point entering Monday, though his limited fourth-line role explains his lack of offense. The first-round pick from 2019 has two points, 12 shots on net, 18 hits, seven blocked shots, nine PIM and a minus-3 rating through 12 outings overall.

Bruins' John Beecher: Puts up first career assist
Beecher notched an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Sharks.
Beecher set up a Brad Marchand tally in the first period. The helper was Beecher's first NHL point, coming in just his third game. The 22-year-old center is already killing penalties, carving out an important on-ice role for the Bruins. He's added four shots on net, seven PIM and an even plus-minus rating so far. Beecher's mostly defensive usage is unlikely to lead to much fantasy relevance in his rookie season.

Bruins' John Beecher: Drops gloves in his NHL debut
Beecher didn't notch a point in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks, but he did log seven PIM.
Beecher was involved in a third-period scrap with Chicago's Jason Dickinson. Initially, Beecher was whistled for a boarding call against Chicago's Cole Guttman. Dickinson then skated in for some pleasantries before the two dropped the gloves. Beecher, the Bruins' 2019 first-round draft pick, was making his NHL debut.
