Flyers' Joel Farabee: Scores in Saturday's loss
Farabee scored a goal on six shots and added two hits in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Flames.
Farabee brought the Flyers within a goal in the second period with his first tally of the year. The 24-year-old winger has two points, three shots, four hits and a minus-1 rating over two appearances. Farabee was listed on the second line Saturday but saw just 13:25 of ice time, including 2:15 on the power play. He reached the 50-point mark last season, but getting back there will be tough if he consistently skates fewer than 15 minutes per game.

Flyers' Joel Farabee: Regsiters assist in shootout win
Farabee posted a power-play assist and two hits in Friday's 3-2 shootout win over the Canucks.
Farabee managed a career-high 50 points in 82 games last season, but he begins 2024-25 in a third-line role. He's still a factor on the power play, which will give him additional opportunities for offense. Farabee stands to gain if head coach John Tortorella shuffles the lines, as he could find himself in the top six. Fantasy managers in deeper formats can roster Farabee now, but those in standard leagues will want to wait and see how his usage develops.

He continues to build on his career high in points, currently sitting at 48 (68 games).

Flyers' Joel Farabee: Lights lamp in victory
Farabee opened the scoring in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Senators.
Farabee's tip-in shot led to his 18th goal and 45th point of the season. He's a mainstay in the top six and featured on the No. 1 power-play unit, though the Flyers are anything but fearsome on the man advantage since they're ranked 31st in the league by converting those chances at a 13.1-percent clip. Nonetheless, Farabee has managed seven power-play points and his dogged effort in 5-on-5 situations puts him on pace to shatter his 2022-23 output, when he provided 15 goals and 27 assists over a full campaign.

Flyers' Joel Farabee: Goals in consecutive games
Farabee scored a goal on five shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Avalanche.

Flyers' Joel Farabee: Pots goal in win
Farabee scored a goal and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Coyotes.
Farabee snapped a six-game point drought with the tally. In that span, he went minus-5, and it included a game where he saw just two shifts totaling 56 seconds. He's since settled into a third-line role with little to no power-play time, which takes a significant chunk away from his already shaky fantasy standing. The winger has done well at times this season, accumulating nine goals, 16 points, 55 shots on net and a plus-4 rating, but he'll need to get back into the top six to really make an impact.

Flyers' Joel Farabee: Coach unhappy with play
Farabee played just two shifts Thursday after being on the ice for the Devils' first goal.
Those two shifts totaled just 56 seconds. Head coach John Tortorella was blunt after the game -- telling reporters Farabee's benching was the result of the winger not listening to the coaching staff. Farabee has talent, but Torts doesn't suffer fools gladly. Watch for the next practice and how well Farabee rebounds. You may need to adjust your lineup and strategy if there's a thud rather than a bounce back for Farabee next time out. He has 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 23 games.
