Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Finds twine twice in loss
Frondell scored two goals, fired five shots on net and recorded two blocked shots in Thursday's 7-2 loss to Carolina.
Frondell continued his excellent stretch of play to begin his NHL career with both of Chicago's goals Thursday. The 18-year-old center is up to three goals, eight points, 24 shots on net, eight hits and nine blocked shots through nine games. He has a bright future in Chicago's top six and should be a staple in all fantasy formats next season. This year, however, he offers excellent streaming value in most league formats.

Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Pots first NHL goal
Frondell scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.
Frondell's first NHL goal opened the scoring at 4:42 of the first period. The 18-year-old has a goal, four helpers, 13 shots on net and a minus-3 rating through five appearances since coming over from the SHL. Frondell shouldn't be expected to be a point-per-game player over a longer stretch, but he can do enough from a top-six role to help fantasy managers looking for a boost late in the season.

Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Earns two helpers in loss
Frondell logged two assists and three shots on goal in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Devils.
Frondell has four helpers over his first four NHL games. His second assist Sunday was his first career power-play point. The 18-year-old got a look at center in this contest, but he went just 2-for-9 at the dot. He'll have time to either develop down the middle or focus on a shift to the wing in the next few years as the Blackhawks work to build a winning roster through a draft-and-develop pathway.

Frondell notched an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.
In his NHL debut, the third overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft set up Ilya Mikheyev's breakaway goal late in the first period. Frondell should get a long look over the final weeks of the season in a top-six role. The 18-year-old also had two shots on net, two blocked shots and one hit in 15:43 of ice time.

Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Joins Blackhawks on road trip
Frondell arrived in New York on Monday ahead of the Blackhawks' game against the Islanders on Tuesday, per Scott Powers of The Athletic.
Frondell just finished his season in the SHL, and considering he has already signed his entry-level contract with Chicago, it's not much of a surprise that the team's brass wanted the 18-year-old to join the Blackhawks after a strong campaign overseas. Powers noted that it's unclear if Frondell will play on Long Island on Tuesday. The Swedish center is a highly-regarded prospect who was selected No. 3 overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, and he'll eventually be a key piece in the top six with the likes of Connor Bedard, Frank Nazar and Sacha Boisvert (not injury related) in the coming years.

Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Hits high mark for 18-year-old
Frondell scored his 20th goal of the season in Djurgardens' 3-2 loss to Skelleftea in the SHL on Saturday.
Per Scott Powers of The Athletic, Frondell is the first 18-year-old to hit the 20-goal mark in Sweden's top league since Daniel Sedin did it in 1998-99. That's elite company for Frondell, who ends the regular season with 20 goals and eight assists in 43 appearances. Given that level of production, Frondell looks ready to take his game to North America in 2026-27.

Frondell scored a goal in Djurgardens' 6-4 win over Vaxjo on Tuesday in the SHL.

That's an excellent level of production for an 18-year-old playing in the SHL, and it's a showcase of the high-quality shot that made him the No. 3 overall pick in 2025. Frondell seems likely to get a look in training camp with the Blackhawks ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, though no official decision has been made as to where he'll start next season.

Frondell scored a goal in Djurgardens' 3-2 win over Timra IK on Saturday in the SHL.

It's his first year in the league, though the 18-year-old will be taking a break from his club team to represent Sweden at the World Junior Championship later this month. Considering he's been playing against men in the SHL all year, he should have a dominant performance at the WJC.

Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Hat trick in Saturday's win
Frondell scored three goals on six shots in Djurgardens' 5-3 win over Malmo on Saturday.
Frondell helped Djurgardens earn promotion from the second-tier HockeyAllsvenskan last year, collecting 25 points in 29 regular-season games and another seven points in 16 qualification contests. Even with a step up in quality with the team rejoining the SHL, Frondell has elevated his offense early in the year with six goals and two assists over nine contests. He was selected third overall by the Blackhawks back in June, and he's off to a positive start.
