Sabres' Patrick Kaleta: Still has no timetable for return
Kaleta, who suffered an injury during the preseason, still doesn't have a return date, reports Kevin Oklobzija from the Democrat and Chronicle.
Kaleta has yet to play a game with AHL Rochester this season after saying he'd be out "at least a month" in early October. He's currently on an AHL-only deal, and barring a superb performance, will likely stay in the minors for the rest of the season.

Kaleta (lower body) was released from his PTO with the Sabres on Friday, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.Kaleta was never expected to occupy a spot on the Sabres' Opening Night roster, and his recent injury woes certainly haven't helped his cause. There's no indication of whether it was an aggravation of the previous issue or not, but the Sabres will likely take precautions to ensure players don't suffer a long-term injury. Kaleta has an in-person discipline hearing for an apparent elbow to the head of Jack Johnson during Thursday's loss to Columbus, The Buffalo News reports.Working in Kaleta's favor is that no penalty was called on the play (which doesn't always help) and that Johnson apparently wasn't injured. Kaleta missed practice Friday due to a hearing for a possible suspension, the Olean Times Herald's Bill Hoppe reports.In addition to potentially missing a few games as a consequence of hitting the Blue Jackets' Jack Johnson in Thursday's game, coach Ron Rolston said Kaleta will also require some dental work for a few loose teeth.
