An American Athletic battle is on tap between the Tulane Green Wave and the Temple Owls at noon ET on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field. Both teams are 6-3 on the season, but Temple is 4-1 at home, while Tulane is 1-3 on the road. Both teams have already reached bowl eligibility, but with exposure and TV rights money increasing based on bowl prestige, racking up wins is paramount for both sides. It's the first meeting between the programs since 2016, but Temple won and covered all three times the two teams met from 2014-2016. This time around, the Green Wave are favored by six points in the latest Temple vs. Tulane odds, while the over-under is set at 54. Last week, Temple had a touchdown and change to spare in a 17-7 victory over South Florida. Rod Carey's defense finally buckled back down after giving up more than 600 yards against both SMU and UCF in the previous two games. The Owls had an impressive eight sacks in the win over USF and Quincy Roche was responsible for 3.5 by himself. The junior now has 6.5 sacks on the season and 19.5 for his career and Tulane will have its work cut out to keep Roche out of its backfield on Saturday.

Tulane decided to play defense against itself two weeks ago, but the team still came out ahead despite 95 yards in penalties. They took their matchup against Tulsa 38-26. Tulane quarterback Justin McMillan rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries and also threw for 184 yards and a score, though he did throw two interceptions. McMillan has now been responsible for 2,193 yards of total offense and 25 touchdowns in his first full season as the Tulane starter. His favorite target Darnell Mooney has 31 catches for 536 yards and five touchdowns on the season and he'll be a difficult matchup for the Temple defense.
