Top Davis Allen News

  • Rams' Davis Allen: Draws single target

Allen failed to secure his only target during Sunday's 37-20 victory against the Cardinals.

It was the second straight week without a catch for Allen, who watched Tyler Higbee return from an ankle injury and post five catches for 91 yards and a touchdown, while Colby Parkinson pitched in with four catches for 36 yards and two touchdowns of his own. Allen and rookie Terrance Ferguson (hamstring) are firmly in the second tier of the Rams tight-end corps heading into the postseason, but Allen's performance in his third year in the league was a fair step up from his first two despite a disappointing final two performances. A 24-208-3 receiving line this year was well ahead of his combined 16-134-1 line from his first two years in the league, and with Higbee set to be a free agent after the season, Allen's role could increase even further in the final year of his rookie contract. The quartet of Rams' tight ends will take on Carolina in the wild-card round on Saturday.

  • Rams' Davis Allen: Held without catch

Allen failed to draw a target during Monday's 27-24 loss to the Falcons.

Monday's contest felt like a shift in the dynamic of the tight end grouping for the Rams, with Colby Parkinson leading the group with seven targets and six catches for 53 yards, while Terrance Ferguson broke through with two big catches, including a 27-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter. Allen's 27 snaps on offense were the lowest he's recorded since Week 13 against Carolina, and Parkinson's 51 snaps marked the first truly significant separation in snap share for the trio of tight ends since Tyler Higbee (ankle) went on injured reserve. Given Parkinson's emergence and Ferguson's big-play ability starting to emerge in the past two weeks, Allen's arrow seems to be trending down heading into the regular-season finale against the Cardinals in Week 18.

  • Rams' Davis Allen: Season-high five targets

Allen secured two of five targets for 34 yards during Thursday's 38-37 overtime loss to the Seahawks.

Despite the season high in targets for Allen, it was Terrance Ferguson who scored the only touchdown out of the Rams' tight end trio. Currently on a six-game scoreless streak, Allen has generally been the least fantasy viable of the group of tight ends on the roster; his best week from a fantasy perspective was in Week 10, when he had two catches for eight yards and a touchdown. Given that, this week's minor boost in targets feels more like an aberration than a meaningful move towards relevance, and expectations should remain low for a Week 17 matchup in Atlanta.

  • Rams' Davis Allen: Makes three grabs against Detroit

Allen secured three of four targets for 16 yards during Sunday's 41-34 win against the Lions.

While Allen and fellow backup Terrance Ferguson both took the field for over three-quarters of the snaps on offense, Colby Parkinson continued to be the fantasy darling of the trio, recording a fantastic 5-75-2 line on the day and earning his sixth touchdown in as many weeks. Allen's four targets and three catches both tied his season high for the year, making his ceiling low and his fantasy relevance dependent on finding the end zone; something he hasn't done since Week 10 against San Francisco. He'll likely take a back seat to Parkinson again in a huge Week 16 matchup on Thursday night against division rival Seattle.

  • Rams' Davis Allen: Garners a pair of catches

Allen secured both of his targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 45-17 victory against the Cardinals.

Despite Allen, Colby Parkinson and Terrance Ferguson all being on the field for nearly identical amounts of time, Parkinson has become the clear top target of the trio during Tyler Higbee's (ankle) absence. Parkinson's six-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter was his fourth touchdown in his last five games, while Allen has managed just eight catches for 62 yards and a touchdown in that same span. It's unlikely to see Allen's numbers significantly spike any time soon, even with a depleted Lions defense up next in Week 15.

  • Rams' Davis Allen: One catch in reduced role

Allen secured his only target for four yards during Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Panthers.

In the absence of Tyler Higbee (ankle), Colby Parkinson has been the main beneficiary, and on Sunday he once again led all Rams tight ends in snap count, targets, receptions and yards. Neither Allen nor Terrance Ferguson (two targets) were a factor on offense, and Parkinson looks to retain his role as the team's top tight end while Higbee is on injured reserve. The Cardinals are up next in a divisional showdown in Week 14, and Davis will continue to be touchdown-dependent to be a fantasy contributor.

  • Rams' Davis Allen: Bounces back from zero-catch outing

Allen secured three of four targets for 29 yards during Sunday's 34-7 victory against the Buccaneers.

A week removed from being blanked against the Seahawks, Allen helped fill the void left by Tyler Higbee (ankle) going on injured reserve. Colby Parkinson extended his touchdown streak to three games with a second-quarter touchdown grab, but Allen has also shown a nose for the end zone in 2025, notching three touchdowns of his own. Allen hasn't produced more than 37 yards in any contest this season, however, making him a touchdown-dependent fantasy option as the Rams travel to take on the Panthers in Week 13.

  • Rams' Davis Allen: Records third TD of season

Allen secured both of his targets for eight yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 42-26 victory against the 49ers.

Allen's touchdown drought came to an end after he hadn't scored since the first two games of the season. The four-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford in the second quarter was the first of two scoring tosses to Rams' tight ends, with Colby Parkinson snagging his first touchdown catch of the year late in the fourth quarter. With so many mouths to feed in a crowded tight-end room, Allen will continue to be difficult to trust in lineups even with a divisional contest in Week 11 against a Seahawks squad that just gave up a 9-127-1 line to Trey McBride.

  • Rams' Davis Allen: Season-high three catches

Allen secured three of four targets for 37 yards during Sunday's 34-10 win against the Saints.

Allen enjoyed a slight bump in playing time and used it to produce his first multi-catch game of the season. The quartet of Rams' tight ends continue to operate in a timeshare on offense, heavily capping any upside that could be had from any individual player. Without an injury or trade that would reduce the number of mouths to feed, it will be difficult to trust any tight end for the Rams for fantasy purposes. A divisional showdown against San Francisco is up next for Allen and the Rams in Week 10.

  • Rams' Davis Allen: Records sixth one-catch game

Allen secured his only target for four yards during Sunday's 35-7 win against the Jaguars.

Allen, if nothing else, has been a model of consistency through the 2025 campaign; he's recorded either one or two targets and one or two receptions in all seven games he's played in. After starting the year with touchdowns in the first two contests, however, Allen has failed to find paydirt since. With a tepid 8-59-2 receiving line and Terrance Ferguson, Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee all sharing targets in a crowded tight-end room, Allen seems likely to continue his meager production. He'll face off against the Saints in Week 9 after enjoying a bye in Week 8.
