76ers' VJ Edgecombe: Good to go Friday

Edgecombe (hip) will play in Friday's preseason game against Minnesota, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Edgecombe's hip soreness was never considered serious, so this isn't a surprise. The 76ers may exercise caution with his minutes since this is the preseason finale, but the rookie will start the game and is expected to start Opening Night in Boston.
