Brooks has been promoted in advance of Wednesday's game against Miami, Meghan Triplett of GrindCityMedia.com reports.
Brooks will join the Nets' roster with Spencer Dinwiddie (ankle) and Dennis Smith (hip) doubtful to suit up. Brooks' score-first archetype is slightly redundant with Cam Thomas booming on a nightly basis, but the 25-year-old profiles as guard depth for the shorthanded Nets.
