  • Magic's Tristan da Silva: Team option picked up

The Magic have exercised da Silva's fourth-year rookie-scale team option, keeping him under contract through the 2027-28 season, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

The decision gives Orlando another year of control over the 2024 first-round pick, who has established himself as a versatile forward capable of spacing the floor. Da Silva will continue competing for minutes in a crowded Magic frontcourt, with his fantasy upside largely dependent on securing a consistent rotation role and increasing his offensive involvement.

  • Labaron Philon PG | PHI

76ers' Labaron Philon: Out of rotation

Philon (coach's decision) didn't play during Tuesday's 106-100 victory over the Knicks.

There was some hope the rookie first-rounder would open the season as Tyrese Maxey's backup at point guard, but Anfernee Simons took on that role in the opener. Philon's fantasy value appears to be more pronounced in dynasty leagues.

  • Luka Garza PF | BOS

Celtics' Luka Garza: Limited to eight minutes

Garza recorded two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and two rebounds in eight minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 loss to the Pistons.

Garza's first regular-season appearance was cut short by foul trouble, as he picked up four personal fouls in just over eight minutes. The reserve big man grabbed both of his rebounds on the offensive glass but missed his two attempts from beyond the arc. With Mitchell Robinson starting and Neemias Queta playing 22 minutes off the bench, Garza appears to be firmly behind both centers in Boston's rotation.

  • Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Fills box score in loss

Champagnie notched eight points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 loss to the Thunder.

Although it was Devin Vassell who drew the Opening Night start, Champagnie also appears to be a direct fantasy beneficiary of Tobias Harris' (calf) absence. Champagnie should be worth streaming in most leagues until Harris is cleared to make his season debut.

  • Hugo Gonzalez SG | BOS

Celtics' Hugo Gonzalez: Scoreless in 10 minutes

Gonzalez accumulated zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and three rebounds over 10 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 loss to Detroit.

Gonzalez saw limited action after a productive preseason in which he showcased improved perimeter shooting. The second-year wing attempted just one shot and finished with a team-worst minus-15 rating. With Boston leaning more heavily on Sam Hauser and Baylor Scheierman off the bench, Gonzalez may struggle to secure enough minutes for meaningful fantasy production.

  • Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Perfect from deep

Scheierman produced eight points (3-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds and one steal across 18 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 loss to the Pistons.

Scheierman made the most of his limited offensive opportunities, converting both three-point attempts while adding a steal. He matched Sam Hauser's playing time as Boston distributed minutes among its reserve wings, but Scheierman's four shot attempts highlight the difficulty of producing consistent fantasy numbers in a supporting role. His perimeter shooting could help him earn additional opportunities as the season progresses.

  • Thunder's Jaylin Williams: Quiet in season opener

Williams accumulated five points (1-6 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 17 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 win over the Spurs.

Isaiah Hartenstein ended with five fouls Tuesday, but Williams didn't really capitalize on the opportunity. Williams is expected to share the backup center minutes with rookie first-rounder Aday Mara, who made plenty of noise during the preseason.

  • Sam Hauser SF | BOS

Celtics' Sam Hauser: Scores 11 off bench

Hauser chipped in 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist across 18 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 loss to Detroit.

Hauser provided efficient perimeter scoring off Boston's bench, knocking down three of his five attempts from beyond the arc without committing a turnover. He finished with a plus-five rating despite the loss, though his 18-minute workload suggests his fantasy contributions will depend heavily on three-point shooting rather than consistent opportunities in other categories.

  • Spurs' Harrison Barnes: Sees just nine minutes

Barnes racked up three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and one block in nine minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 loss to the Thunder.

Barnes came off the bench and attempted only one shot, a made three-pointer, while failing to collect a rebound or assist. His limited playing time was particularly notable with Tobias Harris (calf) unavailable, as San Antonio instead leaned heavily on Julian Champagnie and Keldon Johnson. Barnes' reduced role raises concerns about his fantasy viability, even in deeper leagues.

  • Spurs' Devin Vassell: Muted effort in opener

Vassell provided seven points (2-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 31 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 loss to Oklahoma City.

Vassell drew the start and played the fourth-most minutes for San Antonio, but he struggled to find his rhythm offensively. The veteran wing went scoreless from beyond the arc on three of his four attempts and failed to record a defensive statistic. With Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper and De'Aaron Fox all playing prominent offensive roles, Vassell may face increased competition for shot attempts this season.
