  • Dylan Harper SG | SA

Spurs' Dylan Harper: Posts 18 points in opening loss

Harper ended with 18 points (7-17 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds and five assists across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 loss to Oklahoma City.

Harper had a busy night in the starting lineup, finishing second on the Spurs in scoring and tying Fox and Stephon Castle for second in rebounds. His shooting was inconsistent, but he got to the line and contributed as a playmaker.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Struggles with shot in loss

Wembanyama registered 12 points (1-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists, six blocks and one steal over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 loss to the Thunder.

Wembanyama had a night to forget offensively, going ice cold from the field and missing his first 12 shots. He scored only on an alley-oop from Fox as time expired in the third quarter. He still led San Antonio in rebounds and blocks and went 10-of-12 from the line to reach double figures. Wembanyama will look for a bounce-back when he faces Houston in Austin on Friday.

  • Aday Mara C | OKC

Thunder's Aday Mara: Holds own against Wemby

Mara produced seven points (3-4 FG, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block across 12 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 win over the Spurs.

Mara made a significant impact in his NBA debut, scoring efficiently off the bench in 12 minutes. The 7-3 rookie's biggest moment came on defense, when he blocked a Victor Wembanyama alley-oop attempt. Thunder centers Isaiah Hartenstein and Holmgren took most of the minutes in the frontcourt, but Mara's success against Wembanyama should earn him more minutes going forward.

  • Jalen Williams SF | OKC

Thunder's Jalen Williams: Rusty shot during opener

Williams closed Tuesday's 116-104 win over the Spurs with 12 points (5-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 30 minutes.

Williams struggled from the field but still reached double figures and tied Holmgren for the team lead in boards. He was one of four players hit with a technical during a second-quarter scuffle. He and Kenrich Williams then scored five points in the 9-0 run that followed, which helped Oklahoma City pull away before halftime.

  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Swats four balls in opener

Holmgren finished with 14 points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-8 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and four blocks over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 win over San Antonio.

Holmgren had a steady night as a starter, tying Jalen Williams for the team lead in rebounds and leading the Thunder in blocks. He scored most of his points at the line, going 8-for-8 at rhe chraity stripe. He also took a hard fall in the second quarter when De'Aaron Fox's flagrant foul on him sparked a brief shoving match between the two teams. He seemed fine after the incident.

  • Jared McCain PG | OKC

Thunder's Jared McCain: Drills six threes in opener

McCain posted 20 points (7-9 FG, 6-8 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 win over the Spurs.

McCain was a spark off the bench, scoring 20 points behind only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and hitting six of his eight three-point attempts. He came through again in the second half, when San Antonio cut a 26-point lead to single digits, combining with Gilgeous-Alexander for 25 points after the break.

  • John Collins PF | DET

Pistons' John Collins: Quiet in Pistons debut

Collins closed Tuesday's 121-113 victory over the Celtics with six points (3-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 25 minutes.

Collins started for his new team, as expected, but certainly fell short of the mark when it comes to having a sizeable impact. The two combined steals and blocks were nice, but more is going to be expected from him, particularly on the offensive end. Despite the struggles, he remains a clear hold in all formats.

  • Paul Reed C | DET

Pistons' Paul Reed: Modest effort off bench

Reed accumulated six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 17 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 victory over the Celtics.

Reed turned in a serviceable performance, doing just enough to keep him in the discussion for standard fantasy leagues. Assuming he can play at least 17 minutes per game, he should be able to do just enough to hold value, particularly in big-friendly builds. Given that Javonte Green was shooting the lights out in this one, there is also a chance that Reed could see a little more court time on most nights, a fact that shouldn't be lost on fantasy managers.

  • Ausar Thompson SF | DET

Pistons' Ausar Thompson: Team-high 11 rebounds in win

Thompson ended Tuesday's 121-113 victory over the Celtics with 11 points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists and one steal in 33 minutes.

Thompson recorded a double-double, turning in a solid first-up performance. After signing a new deal during the offseason, the hope was that his role would elevate this season. If Tuesday's effort is anything to go by, that could certainly be the case. He was one of only two Pistons players to log at least 30 minutes, a fantastic sign for anyone who took a chance on him in drafts.

  • Jordan Walsh SG | BOS

Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Drops a donut in start

Walsh had zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 13 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 loss to the Pistons.

Walsh failed to score despite earning the start, logging just 13 minutes. Having Walsh as a starter was certainly a curious move, and first impressions were not good. Even if he is to remain with the opening five, Walsh is not someone fantasy managers need to pay too much attention to, outside of very deep leagues.
