Bears' Eddie Goldman: Headed for free agency

The Bears are slated to release Goldman, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Bears attempted to trade the nose tackle but are now instead in line to release the 28-year-old. In 14 games last season, the 2015 second-rounder recorded 22 tackles and 0.5 sacks. Goldman will now aim to catch on with a team looking to bolster its run defense.
