Merriweather (ankle) is "being held out of practice" during training camp, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
The safety also did not participate in the team's offseason program, per Smith. Merriweather left Tampa Bay's divisional-round playoff loss to Detroit with an ankle injury. The second-year pro recorded 21 tackles during the 2023 regular season and played more on special teams than defense.
